The promoter responsible for the publication and adjudication of this Competition and the provision
of the prizes is Coty UK&I Ltd, of Bradfield Road, Eureka Science Park, Ashford, Kent TN25 4AQ

                          STAGE 1: - PHOTOGRAPHIC HEAT
                                     THE HAIRDRESSING TEAM

1. TrendVision Award 2019 is open to all UK and Ireland residents who are professional hairdressers aged
18 years and over, who are employed by a commercial salon, or self-employed/freelance hairdressers with
more than 3                   experience.

2. There is no upper age limitation for the competitor, model or assistant in the TrendVision Award 2019.

3. No employee of Coty Inc.,                                                               or their families,
will be allowed to enter the TrendVision Award 2019.

4. Please note, only one assistant is allowed per competitor. Competitors are allowed to share one assistant
if they wish, but they cannot use several assistants among each other. The competitor is allowed to change
their assistant at every competition stage. The assistant does not have to be employed by the participating
salon.

5. The model can be changed anytime during the competition but the competitor must stay the same. The
model does not have to be employed by the participating salon.

6. The                            competitor may change between the Photographic heat and the Regional
& Ireland heats, and between the Regional & Ireland heats and the National final.

7. Only the competitor (whose name is on the online entry form) is eligible to win.

                                               THE SALON

8. Salons are allowed to enter as many competitors as they like. Competitors are allowed to enter more than
one category if they wish. However, competitors may only submit one online entry per category.

9. The salon that appears on the online entry form will be the salon that the hairdresser must represent in
the Photographic heat, the Regional & Ireland heats, the National final and the International final. Competing
at the International final is only relevant for the Creative Artist of the Year and Color Artist of the Year
categories. Should a competitor leave their employment (i.e. move to a different salon) during any stage of
the competition, they will lose their right to compete. In the case of withdrawal of a competitor, the salon
loses the right to compete.

                                          THE ONLINE ENTRY

10. Please note that the competitor should submit their photographic entry to the chosen category using the
online entry form. Competitor should take their inspiration from a variety of sources including the Wella
Professionals collections, art, photography and fashion.

11. Please note that the competitor does not have to be an existing Wella account holder to enter the
competition, nor do they have to use Wella Professionals products for their photographic entry. However,
should competitor go through to the Regional & Ireland heats and the National final, they will only be able
to use Wella Professionals products.

12. If more than one category is entered into by a competitor, each entry must showcase a totally unique
look. Due to judging criteria, the same look cannot be entered into multiple categories. If a competitor is
successful in getting through to the Regional & Ireland heats in more than one category, the competitor will

13. A fully completed online entry form consists of:

   a) An agreement to the disclaimer.
   b) Two portrait colour photographs (head and shoulders) of the model
      looks. The Before and Finished Look images should NOT be identical, and salon names should NOT
      be visible anywhere in the images (e.g. branded gowns, logos in background etc.)
   c) Written explanations to the questions about how the Finished Look was achieved. Questions vary
      depending on the category chosen to enter.
   d) Information about the competitor and their model.

If any entry does not comply with the above, it will be disqualified.

14. On the entry form, an applicant will be required to select the region in which the salon that they work
at is based. They will be competing in this region should they progress through to the Regional & Ireland
heats. Please ensure the region is selected based on the physical/actual address of the salon that the
competitor works at.

15. Professional photographs are not necessary for entry to the competition.

16. Entries that have been previously published (either online or in print) cannot be considered (photo rights
during the competition are reserved for Wella).

17. All photographs taken in the scope of this competition and received by Wella in the scope of this
competition become the property of Wella and may be used for publicity purposes without restriction.

18. Overuse of Photoshop will result in disqualification. It can be used minimally to even out skin tone, tidy
up clothing or to remove an errant hair. Competitor should not use it for creating, enhancing or manipulating
the hair.

19. Wella cannot accept responsibility for entries not successfully submitted online. Competitor will receive
an email confirmation when their entry is submitted successfully.

20. The deadline is final. No entries will be accepted after the closing date of Wednesday, 20th March 2019
(5pm).

                                                 JUDGING

21. Please note that the requirements for each category vary from stage to stage (the Photographic heat,
the Regional & Ireland heats, the National final and the International final). Please ensure you refer to the
relevant section of the Rules & Regulations for guidance on the requirements for the category chosen to
enter into. At the Photographic Heat an independent judging panel will specifically be looking for and will
mark in the following way for each category:

                           CREATIVE ARTIST OF THE YEAR CATEGORY

The highest hair craftsmanship skills and the most creative interpretation of
new, cool and inspiring                                                       candidate must demonstrate a
                                                                 create a beautiful end result. The judges will
also be looking for the completed work to demonstrate a strong editorial/catwalk link.

 CREATIVE ARTIST OF THE YEAR - JUDGING CRITERIA

70% Creative Styling
Option 1: Cut & Styling option:
    20% finished look - including complementary colour that works in harmony with the haircut and


      10% on the selection and appropriate use of products.
      20% on catwalk-inspired looks executed with a professional haircut that is suitable to the models
       face shape.
      20% on styling & finishing in harmony with the haircut showing professional mastery & excellent
       finishing skills.

Option 2: Hair Up Option:
    20% finished look - including complementary colour that works in harmony with the haircut and

      10% on the selection and appropriate use of products.
      40% on catwalk-inspired looks, beautifully crafted showcasing professional skills in dressing & styling
       hair up. Demonstrates excellent finishing skills.

30% Overall Vision & Look
Option 1: Cut & Styling AND Option 2: Hair Up

      10% Total look: how the hair (colour, styling and/or cut) works together with clothes & make up.
      20%               creativity: influenced by Wella Professionals Seasonal Trends.

 CREATIVE ARTIST OF THE YEAR - CATEGORY RELATED RULES
    Cut and colour that complement each other and work in harmony.
    Models are not necessarily professional but appropriate for creating an authentic look that fits with
      their personality, face, and bone structure.
    Makeup and clothes styling that complement the overall look, working in synergy with the hairstyle,
      showing the highest level of craftsmanship.
    A strong link to editorial and catwalk inspired looks.
    The competitor must be totally responsible for all elements contributing to the cut, finish and style
      of the hair.
    It is the competitor's responsibility to perform a skin test 48 hours before the colour application.
    Extensions                                                                           of artificial hair
      pieces/extensions is forbidden unless it is used as padding/filling material inside the hair look and
      not visible on the surface.

 COLOR ARTIST OF THE YEAR - JUDGING CRITERIA

70% Colour Technique
    Visible consideration of how the colour complements the haircut (shape and length).
    Technique, application, colour selection, commercial usability explanation.
    Finished colour result.

30% Overall Vision & Look
    Total look (style, finish, make-up, clothes/fitting).
    Relevant individual vision/ interpretation/ creative personalisation.
    Professional finish.

 COLOR ARTIST OF THE YEAR - CATEGORY RELATED RULES
    Demonstrate a significant change to the model's hair and the ability to construct a salon-relevant
      total look.
    Inspiration has been taken from many sources.
    Colour work reflects the professional expertise and ability of the colourist to create a tailor-made
      end result.
    The cut and colour complement each other whilst creating a beautiful, wearable look.
    Hair is shiny and in excellent condition with the highest professional finish.
    The model chosen is most appropriate for creating an authentic look that fits with their personality,
      face and bone structure.
    Make-up and clothes styling complement the overall look.
    There should be no hair up work in the Color Artist of the Year category.
    The competitor must be totally responsible for all elements contributing to the colour, finish and
      style of the hair.
    It is the competitor's responsibility to perform a skin test 48 hours before the colour application.
    Extensions
      The use of hairpieces or hair extensions will disqualify the entrant from the competition.

Demonstrates the highest hair craftsmanship and skill in the technique of cutting and
and facial grooming that reflects the current male market.

 MALE GROOMING JUDGING CRITERIA

70% Craftsmanship & Finish

      Must demonstrate the ability to create a professional finish & explain the inspiration to the model s
       overall look.
      Excellent finishing skills must be demonstrated.

30% Overall Vision & Look

      Total look (style, finish, make-up, clothes/fitting).

 MALE GROOMING - CATEGORY RELATED RULES
   Demonstrate the highest skill and craftsmanship in cutting techniques suitable for male grooming.
      The hair can be any length but should not be hair up. No hairpieces or hair extensions are allowed.
   Where applicable, colour work should reflect                   professional expertise to enhance the

Demonstrates creativity in a total on trend, modern, long hair runway look. Show us beautiful style and
finish with the option to use hair extensions and pieces.

 RUNWAY (LONG HAIR) - JUDGING CRITERIA

70% Style & Finish

      Demonstrate ability to create a mid to long hair fashion runway look and explain the inspiration
       behind it.
      Styling technique and control of hair should be demonstrated.
      Excellent finishing skills of the hair must be demonstrated.
      The use of hair extensions, pieces, padding, wefts and accessories are allowed to create the look.

30% Overall Vision & Look

      Total look (style, finish, make-up, clothes/fitting).
      Relevant individual vision/ interpretation/ creative personalisation.
      Professional finish.

 RUNWAY (LONG HAIR) - CATEGORY RELATED RULES
    Demonstrate creativity in a total on trend, modern, long hair runway look.
    Show beautiful style and finish with the option to use hair extensions and pieces.
    Cut and colour that complement each other and work in harmony.

                                 THE REGIONAL & IRELAND HEATS

23. Competitors selected to go through to the Regional & Ireland heats will be notified via an announcement
on the Wella Professionals Facebook page by 5pm on Thursday, 4 th April 2019. Competitors will also
receive a follow up email after this date.

                                                   OTHER

24. Any contravention of the rules will render a competitor liable for disqualification.

25. Entry implies acceptance of these rules.

26. Participants agree that personal data, especially name, address and email address, may be collected,
used, disclosed and stored for the purposes of administering the competition, prize fulfillment, and disclosure
of winners list. Participants have a right to access any personal data held by the Promoter by writing to the
Promoter at the address listed at the top.

                                           THE COMPETITION

11. Please note that the competitor should create their final model look in their chosen category on the day
of the competition within the competition time limit using Wella Professionals products. Competitor should
take their inspiration from a variety of sources including the Wella Professionals collection, art, photography
and fashion.

12. Competitors will have 1 hour to complete styling, finishing, clothes styling and make-up (applicable to
all categories). Please note, the model can be dressed and base make-up can be applied prior to the
competition. Base make-up includes foundation and blusher but excludes lip and eye make-up as well as

competition.

13. All colour and cutting work for Color Artist of the Year category, Creative Artist of the Year category and
Runway MUST be carried out prior to the competition and must be done using only Wella Professionals
products. For Male Grooming all colour work MUST be carried out prior to the competition and must be
done using only Wella Professionals products.

14. The model must arrive with clean hair, as there will be no facilities for shampooing during the
competition. For haircut and styling models the hair must be sprayed wet before the competition commences
(Color Artist of the Year, Male Grooming and cut and styling models in Creative Artist of the Year). For hair
dressing and styling models the hair must be dry and in its natural state with no styling products previously
applied before the competition commences (Runway category and hair up models in the Creative Artist of
the Year category). There should be no hair up work in the Color Artist of the Year or Male Grooming
category.

15. On completion of the 1 hour, each competitor will be expected to present their model and give an
overview to the Judges on the finished look. The presentation must include the inspiration and background
behind             interpretation.

Please note competitors must present from their own device or mood board. Wella will not provide any
additional supporting technical equipment. The presentation should give details behind the concept of the
total look and include the following depending upon the chosen category:

 CREATIVE ARTIST OF THE YEAR CATEGORY
          Haircut description.
          Styling explanation.
          Description of the techniques used.
          Description of              inspiration.
          Wella Professionals style and finishing products used.
          This presentation must not exceed 3 minutes.

          Haircut description.
          Styling explanation.
          Description of the techniques used.
          Description of              inspiration.
          Shades / mixtures used on the hair.
          Outline as to how the colour works with the hair cut (shape, length, focal points).
          Wella Professionals style and finishing products used.
          This presentation must not exceed 3 minutes.


 RUNWAY (LONG HAIR) CATEGORY
         Haircut description.
         Styling explanation.

16. Only the competitor, model and assistant will be allowed in the competition room. No spectators or
guests (including children/babies) will be allowed at the competition during the day. Only the competitor,
model and assistant will be allowed backstage at the evening event. No spectators or guests (including
children/babies) will be allowed in the backstage area.

      on the catwalk.
    Makeup and clothes styling that complement the overall look, working in synergy with the hairstyle,
      showing the highest level of craftsmanship.
    A strong link to editorial and catwalk inspired looks.
    The competitor must be totally responsible for all elements contributing to the cut, finish and style
      of the hair.
    It is the competitor's responsibility to perform a skin test 48 hours before the colour application.
    Extensions                                                                           of artificial hair

      of the hair.
   Extensions
      The use of hairpieces or hair extensions will disqualify the entrant from the competition.
   A minimum of 1cm must be removed from the hair within the competition time limit to showcase

22. Wella Professionals will provide all styling and technical products. Each competitor is responsible for
providing their own personal equipment such as scissors, brushes and combs, make-up and clothes for
completing the finished look.

23. Wella Professionals will supply hairdryers with diffusers, straightening irons and water sprays. If a
competitor wishes to use a specific item of electrical equipment of their own e.g. tongs and heated rollers,
they must comply with Electrical Safety at Work Regulations under the Health and Safety Act, and must be
supported by a current safety certificate. Adapters are not permitted. Wella Professionals accepts no


24. Wella Professionals cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to any personal belongings brought
to the competition by competitors, assistants or models.

                               STAGE 3           NATIONAL FINAL
                                      THE HAIRDRESSING TEAM

1. TrendVision Award 2019 is open to all UK and Ireland residents who are professional hairdressers aged
18 years and over, who are employed by a commercial salon, or self-employed/freelance hairdressers with
                           ing experience.

2. There is no upper age limitation for the competitor, model or assistant in the TrendVision Award 2019.

4. Please note, only one assistant is allowed per competitor. Competitors are allowed to share one assistant
if they wish, but they cannot use several assistants among each other. The competitor is allowed to change
their assistant at every competition stage. The assistant does not have to be employed by the participating

5. The model can be changed anytime during the competition but the competitor must stay the same. The
model does not have to be employed by the participating salon.

7. Models and assistants must be at least 16 years of age at the time of participation and are the
responsibility of the competitor during the Regional & Ireland heats, the National final and international
events. Competing at the International final is only relevant for the Creative Artist of the Year and Color
Artist of the Year categories.

8. Only the competitor (whose name is on the online entry form) is eligible to win.

                                               THE SALON

9. The salon that appears on the online entry form will be the salon that the hairdresser must represent in
the Photographic heat, the Regional & Ireland heats, the National final and the International final. Competing
at the International final is only relevant for the Creative Artist of the Year and Color Artist of the Year
categories. Should a competitor leave their employment (i.e. move to a different salon) during any stage of
the competition, they will lose their right to compete. In the case of withdrawal of a competitor, the salon
loses the right to compete.

                                           THE COMPETITION

11. Please note that the competitor should create their final model look in their chosen category on the day
of the competition within the competition time limit using Wella Professionals products. Competitor should
take their inspiration from a variety of sources including the Wella Professionals collection, art, photography
and fashion.

12. Please note that competition time limit varies depending on the category:
Creative Artist of the Year Category 90 minutes
Color Artist of the Year Category 120 minutes (3 hours)
Male Grooming Category 90 minutes
Runway (Long Hair) Category 90 minutes

Competitors will be alerted when there is 5 minutes of the competition remaining.

Competitors are expected to complete styling, finishing, clothes styling and make-up within the competition
time limit. Please note, the model can be dressed and base make-up can be applied prior to the competition.
Base make-up includes foundation and blusher but excludes lip and eye make-up as well as false eyelashes.

13. The model must arrive with clean hair, as there will be no facilities for shampooing during the
competition. For haircut and styling models the hair must be sprayed wet before the competition commences
(Color Artist of the Year, Male Grooming and cut and styling models in Creative Artist of the Year). For hair
dressing and styling models the hair must be dry and in its natural state with no styling products previously
applied before the competition commences (Runway category and hair up models in the Creative Artist of
the Year category). There should be no hair up work in the Color Artist of the Year or Male Grooming
category.

14. After the competition time runs out, each competitor will be expected to present their model and give
an overview to the Judges on the finished look. The presentation must include the inspiration and
background behind their interpretation.

Please note the competitor must present from their own device or mood board. Wella will not provide any
additional supporting technical equipment. Their presentation should give details behind the concept of the
total look and include the following depending upon their chosen category:

 CREATIVE ARTIST OF THE YEAR CATEGORY
          Haircut description.
          Styling explanation.
          Description of the techniques used.
          Description of
          Wella Professionals style and finishing products used.
          This presentation must not exceed 3 minutes.

 MALE GROOMING CATEGORY
          Haircut description.
          Styling explanation.
          Description of the techniques used.
          Description of              inspiration.
          Shades / mixtures used on the hair.
          Outline as to how the colour works with the hair cut (shape, length, focal points).
          Wella Professionals style and finishing products used.
          This presentation must not exceed 3 minutes.


 RUNWAY (LONG HAIR) CATEGORY
         Haircut description.
         Styling explanation.
         Description of the techniques used.
         Description of              inspiration.

15. Only the competitor, model and assistant will be allowed in the competition room. No spectators or
guests (including children/babies) will be allowed at the competition during the day. Only the competitor,
model and assistant will be allowed backstage at the evening event. No spectators or guests (including
children/babies) will be allowed in the backstage area.



                                                JUDGING

16. Please note that the requirements for each category vary from stage to stage (the Photographic heat,
the Regional & Ireland heats, the National final and the International final). Please ensure you refer to the
relevant section of the Rules & Regulations for guidance on the requirements for the category chosen to
enter into. At the National Final an independent judging panel will specifically be looking for and will mark
in the following way for each category:

      10% on the selection and appropriate use of Wella Professionals products.
      40% on catwalk-inspired looks, beautifully crafted showcasing professional skills in dressing & styling
       hair up. Demonstrates excellent finishing skills.

30% Overall Vision & Look
Option 1: Cut & Styling AND Option 2: Hair Up

      10% Total look: how the hair (colour, styling and/or cut) works together with clothes & make up.
      20% C             creativity: influenced by Wella Professionals Seasonal Trends.

 CREATIVE ARTIST OF THE YEAR - CATEGORY RELATED RULES & REQUIREMENTS
    Cut and colour that complement each other and work in harmony.
    Models are not necessarily professional but appropriate for creating an authentic look that fits with
      their personality, face, and bone structure. Models must be sufficiently confident to carry the look
      on the catwalk.
    Makeup and clothes styling that complement the overall look, working in synergy with the hairstyle,
      showing the highest level of craftsmanship.
    A strong link to editorial and catwalk inspired looks.
    The competitor must be totally responsible for all elements contributing to the cut, finish and style
      of the hair.
    It is the competitor's responsibility to perform a skin test 48 hours before the colour application.
    Extensions

    For OPTION 1 ONLY - a minimum of 2cm must be removed from the hair during the competition time
      limit to allow the competitor to showcase their craftsmanship and cutting skills.

 COLOR ARTIST OF THE YEAR - CATEGORY RELATED RULES & REQUIREMENTS
    Demonstrate a significant change to the model's hair and the ability to construct a salon-relevant
      total look.
    Inspiration has been taken from many sources.
    Colour work reflects the professional expertise and ability of the colourist to create a tailor-made
      end result.
    The cut and colour complement each other whilst creating a beautiful, wearable look.
    Hair is shiny and in excellent condition with the highest professional finish.
    The model chosen is most appropriate for creating an authentic look that fits with their personality,
      face and bone structure.
    Make-up and clothes styling complement the overall look.
    There should be no hair up work in the Color Artist of the Year category.
    The competitor must be totally responsible for all elements contributing to the colour, finish and
      style of the hair.
    ALL COLOUR work must be carried out onsite within the competition time limit. Judges will expect
      to observe a minimum of 1cm regrowth and/or virgin hair prior to the start of the competition.
      Judges will only take into consideration the colour work completed during the competition time limit.
    It is the competitor's responsibility to perform a skin test 48 hours before the colour application.
    Extensions

30% Overall Vision & Look

      Total look (style, finish, make-up, clothes/fitting).
