Discover the excitement of sailing these impressive vessels which were once
part of the America’s Cup - the worlds’ oldest active sports trophy and most
prestigious sailing regatta.
After departing the Viaduct, it’s time to get hands on the winch grinders to raise
the enormous sails. From there, you will become the crew - take the helm,
work the grinders or sit back and enjoy the unique experience of sailing an
America’s Cup yacht whilst taking in the sights of Auckland.

NZL41 Raced by a Japanese syndicate NZL68 Commissioned in Germany in 2003,
in 1995, NZL41 came second in the Louis Team New Zealand used her as a trial boat
Vuitton Challenge to Team New Zealand. prior to their 2007 America’s Cup campaign.

head on two America’s Cup yachts
Adding in a competitive element to our America’s Cup Sailing Experience,
Match Racing is fast-paced, adrenaline filled and great fun for participants of all
abilities.
Using both ‘NZL41’ and ‘NZL68’, your group will split into two teams, giving them
the chance to race head to head on these impressive vessels. Team members
will take up various positions on board from winch grinding to helming, each
member playing a pivotal role in their team’s success.
