Casual job opportunities
Over the past five years, the Tasmanian economy has grown steadily and there are now more opportunities
for international students to find casual job opportunities, especially seasonal work in the tourism and
agricultural sectors (for example, fruit picking). At the University of Tasmania, we encourage students to
focus on their studies but recognise that having the opportunity to work in Australia can help you adapt
to a new culture, improve your English and provide you with real life work experience to assist you when
looking for a permanent job upon graduation.
