Adapt IT is implementing new technology whilst introducing functional enhancements to the ITS Integrator 4.1
product set. Through our continued partnership with clients we drive system enhancements through the
consideration of development requests. We are continuously evaluating and assessing developed system
modules and interfaces and API’s are developed for integration to third party products.
We are continuously focusing on our business intelligence offerings, our mobile strategy and infrastructure
hosting options and our business process outsourcing services for your benefit.
ITS Integrator going forward will focus on a combination of functional and technical enhancements and we will
give you feedback every 4 to 6 months on process and benefits such as:
• Improved usability for end-users (user experience)
• Enhanced support for ad-hoc management needs
• Improved ability of self-service applications
• Improved enabled use of web and cloud or mobile devices
• Continuous improvements in enriched functionality based on feedback from our clients, advice from industry
experts and our own research.

Int4.1 What to look forward to
• Short term planning still directed by usage statistics (most used)
• Incremental releases at no additional (upgrade) cost
• Options implemented in parallel (ADF and FORMS) to allow ‘soft’ transition
• Development based on Developers understanding of requirements.
Developers focus on technical issues, security and performance issues
rather than usability.
Opportunity for Clients to direct development
• Ability to add fields to a grid, change field sequence and sort sequence
• Duplication of record functionality will be
introduced as screens are ‘touched’
• Integration with new technologies like Jasper

Residence Applications
• Introduce rules to limit allocation of students to buildings during the application phase
• Reporting will be done in Jasper
• Discussed in Session 18 - Residence Application Experience by Rene Genis from UJ
Student Attendance (TVET)
• Allow client to configure their own attendance types (other than absent/present) and how
these attendance types are applied in attendance calculations
• The attendance calendar was made aware of holidays
• Additional calculations are introduced for projected attendance, average attendance and
average attendance to date
• Add reminders to alert the client when there are missing attendance records

Celcat interface improvements
• The client can now update changes to the timetable without deleting the current timetable. Previously when
the client made changes to the timetable in CELCAT and wanted to upload the changes to ITS Integrator, they
had to export the full file from CELCAT. The entire timetable was then deleted from which caused some
frustration. It takes a while to delete and upload, but if this occurs during registration period it could happen
that a student is trying to register but the timetable against which it should clash check was not loaded yet.
• A bulk delete function was introduced to delete entries over multiple weeks and cycles and can be processed
in Trial or Update mode.
• A new menu option was implemented that will process all outstanding interface files that adhere to the
prescribed naming convention and emails the output file indicating whether the process was successful to
the user.

• Personnel can now identify, track and correspond with students requiring intervention (Academically,
Financially, Sociologically)

According to the user group (2018), this item has the highest priority of all items/workshops they requested
It is commonly referred to as Make the NUST / PNAM local software standard
• Approval workflow for assessment (test) marks, mark type marks (and full period marks?) so that after it was captured, it is
approved first before becoming official
• Make the calculate (compute) of mark type marks and full period marks available in the Lecturer iEnabler
• Upload mark type marks and full period marks from spreadsheet
• Upload and download of Exam and Year Marks from spreadsheets
• Marks are loaded onto a temporary holding area where it can be manipulated
• Marks are only transferred to official marks once it is approved.
• Allow lecturers to change calculation criteria in the roll-up from assessment marks to mark type
marks
