An area of rain across much of England and
Wales at first clears south-eastwards through the
day, with rain turning locally heavy in places as it
does so. Further to the north and west is
expected to see a largely dry and fine day with
plenty of sunshine. Overnight temperatures turn
cold with a widespread frost expected.

Temperatures lower across all areas than the
previous days, near or perhaps even slightly
below average, feeling particularly cold beneath
the wet weather across England and Wales and
a cold night will follow with frost.

Rain NW Scotland.

Becoming more settled across the southern half
of the country than on Saturday as high pressure
moves southwards over the country, bringing
largely dry and bright or locally sunny conditions
for England and Wales. Conditions turn
increasingly unsettled however to the north and
west, with outbreaks of rain and strengthening
winds moving in from the Atlantic, with a risk of
some heavy rain in north-western Scotland.

after a possible morning frost.

A band of rain persists across the far north-west,
bringing rain into Scotland and north-western
Ireland, with a risk of some locally heavy rain
across the North-West Highlands. Further to the

temperatures feeling warm in the south and
south-east.

Some uncertainty into the middle of next week as
to the positioning of the boundary between high
pressure to the east and low pressure to the west
and north-west. At present, a largely dry and
warm or very warm day is expected across
southern and south-eastern areas, while more
unsettled weather affects the far north-west.
However, there is considerable uncertainty as to
the eastward extent of this rain.

Temperatures becoming above average, feeling
very warm in the south-east.

A deep Atlantic low is expected to become
dominant to the west of the U.K. for the end of
the week, with very unsettled weather across the
western half of the country, with rain and showers
accompanied by strong winds or gales. Further to
the east and south seas may see some drier and
brighter weather persisting for a time.

Temperatures still likely to be near or slightly
above average, especially in the S and E, but
temperatures perhaps returning to nearer
average further N and W.
