I am proud to welcome you to the 2021 Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament! This
event has been one of Northeast Florida’s greatest traditions for more than four decades.
As a lifelong fishing enthusiast who greatly enjoys time on the water with family and
friends, I am excited for this wonderful tradition continue in our great city.
For more than 40 years, this event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of
many local charitable organizations through Jacksonville Marine Charities, Inc. In addition,
to its time-honored community support, the tournament engages thousands of sponsors,
residents and volunteers who contribute innumerable hours to make this tournament a
success. I am confident that you will feel a true sense of comradery as you support anglers
and captains of all ages and skill levels.
For those who are visiting Northeast Florida, I hope you will make the time to explore all that
makes Jacksonville such a unique and special place. From the miles of pristine coastline to all
the dining, shopping, sports, culture, and entertainment that Jacksonville has to offer. I am
sure that you will find Northeast Florida is the place to be, and why so many people are proud

that time they have grown from meeting at kitchen tables to
hosting events and activities on a weekly basis throughout the
community. They are committed to helping people with Down
syndrome achieve their full potential, while working to create
a community that is educated, supportive, and inclusive of
individuals with Down syndrome. The DSAJ also serves all ages-
from birth through adult. They serve six counties and partner
with many agencies that serve families in the way of Speech,
Physical and occupational Therapy as well as Computer Tutoring
and IEP funding assistance. Outside of services, they offer
many programs, including a wellness/fitness program that offers
basketball, soccer, dance team and weight management. The

Kingfish Tournament tlme is upon us again.
Each year this gives all boat captains a real opportunity
to have a positive influence on the younger generation. A
lot complain about our kids playing video games or staying
on social media and just sitting around the house. If we
can teach our kids about the wonder of the outdoors and
particularly the ocean what a life changing event that could
be. The Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament offers all
boat captains the chance to have just such an impact on our
local youth. The cost to enter a Junior Angler in the Offshore
Tournament is only $10, the same price it was in 1981! If your
boat is not entered in the General Tournament you can still
take a Junior Angler for only $50 each. Last year there was
over a 260 Junior Anglers entered. These are the experiences
that life memories are made of. how much it would mean to them. Come on, let’s put a smile

The Jr. Angler Offshore Tournament, established in 1991, promotes the
participation of youthful fishing in a sporting event which
encourages conservation of marine life and awareness of the
necessity to protect our natural resources.

or Boat Handling. ABC will also fulfil Florida’s requirement for an approved boating course so you can legally
operate a boat. Boat Handling goes further, and gives you a fuller understanding of boating knowledge and

Navigation courses. These will help you make way in charted waters like large lakes, bays, and near shore gulf
