2021 WINTER EDITION - Arts Bundaberg
Escape with
    us for the
2
    Winter!

    Warm up
    with a hot
    new season
    experience.
2021 WINTER EDITION - Arts Bundaberg
Theatre is such a wonderful
experience, but at the end of
the day (or night) it’s nothing
without you.
If last year taught us anything, it’s
that while we love watching a group
of artists transform live performance
into something extraordinary, the
work only truly comes to life when it
meets you.
Only by coming together do we get 1

to experience the power and joy of
performance. Theatre is ordinary
life, amplified. Done right and we
get to inhabit other worlds, examine
different lives, think new thoughts and
escape the everyday.
This year we’re exploring lots of new
places. It’s not all happy endings,
but hopefully you will join us on this
adventure. We’re ready to take you
somewhere unexpected.

Georgie Jutland (Kelly Macdonald) is barely holding 10.00 AM
it together these days without a drink. Once a nurse,
now she’s trapped in the backwater fishing port of Event Information

(David Wenham) and his two sons, whose dead R AT ED M
mother she can never hope to replace.
One hazy night she sees the lone figure of Lu Fox
(Garret Hedlund) appear in the mists of the bay. A long
time ago he was a dirt musician, but now he survives
as a poacher - an unwise choice given Jim’s iron-grip
on the local fishing trade. Georgie is instantly drawn to
Lu, and the pair begin an intense affair. What Georgie
doesn’t realise is that the Foxes and the Buckridges
have a long, murky history. Dirt Music is a tale of
love and redemption, set against the awe-inspiring
backdrop of Western Australia.
