 ON JANUARY 23RD, THE EDITORS
of The Willo Historic Neighborhood: Architecture &
History held a launch party at the home of Diana Herman
for those who had pre-purchased books and local
dignitaries. Perhaps buoyed by cake and champagne,
many additional copies were sold!

ON FEBRUARY 22ND, HUNDREDS of visitors
visited the Willo Photo Book booth at the 2022 Willo
Home Tour. Author Jon Talton joined us to sign books.
We sold the last available copies of the book, many to
visitors who do not live in Willo… We have now sold
out of 300 copies!

Amazing photographs. People love the book. Everyone is
raving about the book-so thankful for the amazing work.

WE HAD AN EXCELLENT TURNOUT for the Kids Club Snow Event on January
29th. We had 10 tons of snow trucked into Lewis Park, including a snow slide for
sledding. We also had a visit from the firemen of Phoenix Fire Station #4; not
only did they come to our event, but they opened their trucks and let the kids
go inside and explore! Thank you! ◆ We look forward to our upcoming Easter/
Earth Day event, which will take place on April 16th at 4:00 (place TBD). Look
for more details in next month’s newsletter, email, and Facebook. ◆ Enchant-
ed Island Amusement Park will be hosting two days of age-appropriate egg
hunts for families on April 11th & 12th. Be sure to bring your own baskets and
arrive early. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos at 10 a.m. Check
online to see hunt time by age group. This is a free event.
