WHY EXHIBIT AT NICKEL CITY CON?
Nickel City Con is Buffalo’s largest comic convention and has quickly become THE major
Pop-Culture & Celebrity event around the area. Nickel City Con spans 3 days and will be
held on May 18-20, 2018 at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center! We doubled our size in
2017 with nearly 12,000 people in attendance and 2018 is shaping up to be even bigger!
INTRODUCING HORROR FEST AT NICKEL CITY CON
New for 2018: Horror Fest at Nickel City Con! Horror Fest is an exclusive show held in the
lower level ballroom of the convention center, spanning all three days of the con. It will
feature horror vendors, ghastly guests, spooky authors, scary good artists, paranormal
props, and more! Attendees will enjoy two shows for one low price - admission to Horror
Fest is included with your Nickel City Con ticket.
Horror Fest will have terrifyingly awesome introductory exhibitor pricing for only $99 per
booth! But don’t delay as there are only 50 spaces available.
2017 HIGHLIGHTS
Over 180 celebrities, vendors and artists filled the convention center with the exciting
addition of an escape room! Celebrity guests like the iconic William Shatner, Billy Dee
Williams, and football legend Joe Montana were just a few of the major guests who
attended Nickel City Con 2017. Our Q&A panels brought fans closer to their favorite
celebrities and comic creators. Sunday was Family Day at Nickel City Con and was
highlighted by our free Kids Cosplay contest.

ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN
The advertising campaign for the 2018 Nickel City Con will be extensive and aggressive on
local and regional levels, and will include but is not limited to the following:
• Radio advertising campaigns on local market stations.
• Television advertising campaigns on local stations between programs specific to
our demographic.
• Media coverage in local and regional publications including The Buffalo News,
Niagara Gazette, Artvoice, The Public, Step Out Buffalo, Buffalo Rising, Buffalo
Vibe, WGRZ Channel 2, TWC, and WKBW.
• Presence at local events including World’s largest Disco, Buffalo Soup Fest,
Buffalo Auto Show, Buffalo On Tap & Buffalo Home Show.
• Booths at comic book conventions across the United States such as C2E2, New
York Comic Con, San Diego Comic Con, Rose City Comic Con, Denver Comic Con,
Emerald City Con, and more.
• Full color event brochure distribution.
• Guest promotion through their websites & social media, attracting national &
often global attention.
• Vendor & Artist promotion on over 100 separate websites & social media.

Additional badges will cost extra at vendor/artist check-in. Customize your booth with
your own signage, shelving, chairs, clothing racks, extra tables, TV’s, or anything you need
to display your product and enhance the fan experience!
FLOOR PLACEMENT
Floor placement is at the sole discretion of Nickel City Con Management. We will do our
best to accommodate vendor requests.
ELECTRICITY
Electricity is not provided through Nickel City Con. If you need electricity for your booth, it
is an additional fee and must be purchased through Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.

NY SALES TAX
Each Vendor/Artist is responsible for meeting all of the New York State requirements regarding
sales tax filings. Nickel City Con is required to submit a list of exhibitors to New York State.
For information regarding New York Selling requirements please visit www.tax.ny.gov
INSURANCE
Nickel City suggests all exhibitors supply their own insurance. If you do not have your own
insurance, Nickel City Con cannot be held accountable in regards to claims against you or
your company.
