Beginner Jazz/Tap This class will be a fun intro to these two styles! We'll do a Jazz warm up followed
by learning new steps, working on Jazz technique for kicks and turns, progressions
Grades K-3 across the floor, and a center combination. Then we'll put on our Tap shoes and
Tuesday 3-4pm learn how our feet can actually be used as a musical instrument!

Intermediate Jazz We’ll explore a variety of styles including Broadway Jazz and Lyrical, as well as
some contemporary and Hip Hop! Whenever necessary, we will divide the class into
Grades 4-8 two groups so beginners in this age range can get a basic breakdown, and
Tuesday 4-5pm experienced dancers can be given more challenging choreography.

Intermediate Tap This class is a continuation of Tap skills learned in the beginner class (or separate
groups for those in this age range just starting). We’ll play with lots of different

Tuesday 5-6pm
Adult Tap Ever want to try Tap dancing but never have? Maybe you used to Tap but you’re
feeling rusty? Come join us as we have a great time tapping out rhythms and
Wednesday 6:15-7:15pm making some noise. We’ll work with a variety of music styles tailored to the

Pre-School Ballet/Tap This class is especially for graceful ballerinas AND preschoolers who want to make

how the technique helps with every style of dance, we want to give the dancers

GIVE YOUR NEIGHBORS
OPPORTUNITIES TO THRIVE

“Our family has valued the Boothbay Region YMCA for four generations. The Y
was a social gathering place for our parents, is a place for us and our children to
stay healthy, and is safe and fun for our grandchildren. We believe that ours is
not a unique story; it is one repeated over and over in this region. We are so
   fortunate to have our YMCA.”
