GWU Student Storage Pricing and Terms
Thanks for considering our services! If you didn’t already know, we are the only
moving company contracted with GWU to pick up items directly from the dorms,
this makes moving out a breeze for students!
Registration period will be from Monday April 3 – Wednesday May 3 at 5 pm.
The website will not allow students to register after 5 pm on the 3rd of May. The
dates to schedule and pay for items pick up will be from Tuesday April 25, 2023
to Tuesday May 9, 2023. Final payment is due on Tuesday May 9, 2023 by 5 pm to
confirm services. Failure to do so will result in your items not being stored with us.
To begin you must request boxes and pay the deposit to confirm services. If you
have your own boxes you will still need to pay the deposit. The next step is to
schedule and pay for items pick-up after you’ve packed your items, payment can
be made on our website. The student or parent will sign the contract after payment
is processed. Signing the contract does not mean you have to use our services. You
can contact us to cancel your move in writing by Monday, May 8, 2023.
Below you will see a table of our rates per box/item. The pricing includes pick-up,
transportation, delivery back to campus only, and storage in our warehouse
for three months through August 31, 2023.

Additional Information:
• Our services are for students who reside on campus in GWU halls and dorms.
• When registering you must use a student name, GW email, and student GW ID #.
• Parents, if you’re registering for your student, please do not use your name or email.
• Students are not allowed to mix & pack their items with their friends or roommate.
• Students must pack, pay & store their items under their account.
• Students must keep all packed and labeled items inside their dorm room and not in the hallway or common
living areas for Interstate to pick up.
• Students will be issued a 7-digit registration number after requesting boxes. This is your account # to be
written on your labels and used to find your information in our system.
• Students are not required to be present during the pick-up or fall delivery to campus.
• GW will provide us with dates on when we can pick up and deliver students to campus.
• Interstate provides tape, medium, and small boxes only. Labels are printable on our website. A large box is any
box provided by the student larger than our medium size.
• Students can only store or ship all of their items. If partial shipping is needed then the student must handle
this without the assistance of Interstate Moving.
• We will not separate your items after campus pick-ups for you to retrieve any items that you accidentally
packed. See packing tips for more information.
• Students will receive automated emails & text messages with more detailed info for the duration of their
move. Please check your spam and search teamgwu in your student email box to ensure you do not miss
communication from us. Please note standard text messages & data rates may apply.
• Deliveries during the fall of 2023 will be free within five miles of the campus only. This does not apply to
deliveries scheduled in the spring of 2024 or thereafter.
• Service cancellation requests must be in writing and emailed to us by Monday, May 8, 2023. A refund amount
will be determined at the time of cancellation.
• If you are picking up all your items from our warehouse, you can do so at no extra cost. A 48-72 hour advance
notice is required before your arrival for pick-up. Please email TeamGWU@invan.com to schedule a free
curbside pick-up.
• Extended Storage: Beginning on Friday, September 1, 2023, your storage will be extended to $50 per month
if your items remain in storage. The storage extension fee is for all of your items combined regardless of how
many items/boxes you have in storage.
Delivery Exceptions and Conditions:
All instances included in the list below will have a minimum $250 delivery fee.
• Students not returning to campus housing and need an off-campus delivery within the DC/Metro area.
• Students with extended storage contracts.
• Students’ residences are 6-50 miles from the GWU Foggy Bottom campus.
• A student whose items are stored in May of 2023 and delivered at any time/date in the year 2024
or thereafter.
• Any deliveries students schedule before or after the period determined by the GWU contract for fall 2023
delivery; GWU will provide these dates by August 1, 2023.
Please note that these conditions do not cover all instances, and any delivery/storage outside of this list will
need pricing determined once all information has been reviewed. If this is the case, please email

• A minimum order amount of $100 is required to use our service for storage.
• Your card information will be kept and stored in our system for automatic payments for reoccurring storage extension charges and any
outstanding balances.
• Students are not required to use our material but must use our labels.
• Student must make deposit of $100 for booking their move before picking up the material. This will be credited toward your total
amount due or refunded if you decide not to use our services before picking up the material. Once materials have been received by the
students this deposit becomes non-refundable and Interstate will not accept returns of materials for a refund, this condition is non-negotiable.
• There will be a required valuation cost applied to each student account for a Full (Replacement) Value Protection equal to $20 at $1,000
of the value of any damages or missing items confirmed at delivery, all visible damages will be noted at the time of pick up. Interstate
will not be liable for any items that are PBO or (packed by the owner).
• Student boxes will be inventoried and recorded when moved but what’s internally packed will be the responsibility of the student to
ensure they’re packed correctly and Interstate will not be held responsible for damaged items packed inadequately by the student.
