CW Parylene Medical Coatings protect and dry lubricate metals, plastics,
elastomers and electronics. The value our coatings bring to medical device
manufacturers include peace of mind, CW Parylene does not create particulate.
It is chemically inert and suitable for long term implantables. CW Parylene
makes any substrate bio compatible, bio stable and non thrombogenic. It can be
applied to any substrate that can withstand a vacuum. It is a superior
environmental barrier and dry film lubricious coating.
In some cases there would be no solution without Parylene being a component
of the device or delivery system.
Dimer: Our proprietary dimers are over 99.7% pure, whereas industry standard
dimers are only in the 93% range. Coating thickness and uniformity are both
controlled by the amount and purity of the Dimer used. When there are less
contaminates in the Dimer, a truer overall deposition thickness is achieved. The
higher purity provides a higher yielding dimer with faster, more efficient run
times. The Parylene coating is clearer and more consistent in conformance to
the substrate.
Adhesion: Our proprietary silane’s are specifically formulated to ensure
excellent adhesion with more challenging substrates such as noble metals and
many polymeric materials. These advances enable us to ensure high confidence
levels in the adhesion of our Parylene coatings.
Non-Particulate producing: CW Parylene coatings do not produce particulate.
As a soft polymer it is high yielding in use with manufacturing aids.
Medical Electronics: Parylene is the only truly conformal coating. Its protective
properties and dielectric strength far surpass that of most other conformal
coatings. It is an excellent suppressant of metal whiskers.
