From Stage to Screen S.O.N.G Under the musical direction of Patrick Dunne, this concert features Sinead O’Callaghan, Leanna Toner, Brendan Cleary, and Tom Doonan - all long time members of S.O.N.G - plus well known theatre actor Brian Gilligan. These talented five soloists will be joined by S.O.N.G’s fabulous chorus of over 50 members. The evening’s programme will feature songs from musicals and films including A Star is Born, Dear Evan Hanson, Seussical, Annie, West Side Story, The Greatest Showman, and Miss Saigon, to name but a few. Rock of Ages Coláiste Rís It is 1987, and the fabled West Hollywood club the Bourbon Room is the seedy, sordid, vibrant heart of the Sunset Strip, run by chilled-out former rock impresario Dennis Dupree. Tended to by Dennis’s mischievous assistant Lonny, it is the essence of rock and roll. When a small-town girl, the bright- eyed young hopeful Sherrie Christian, arrives in town, she bumps into Drew, a Bourbon Room busboy with dreams of rock and roll stardom. Rock of Ages is a big, brash, energetic tribute to classic rock, to over-the- top ballads and fierce guitar, to the gritty glamour and rough energy of the Sunset Strip. I, Dolours Maurice Sweeney, Ireland, 2017, 82 mins, 15A Dolours Price was a member of a specialised unit in the IRA, responsible for bombings in England in the 1970s and centrally involved in the notorious IRA murders of the ‘Disappeared’. Blending interviews with reconstructions I, Dolours maps out a turbulent life, intimately entwined within the violent, complex history of Northern Ireland’s long civil conflict. 7 June Main Theatre 8.00pm €18 / €16 Weighing In Dolmen Productions Weighing-In is a fast paced comedy play about life, love and dieting - and how we all need to adjust the scales to find the right balance. This topical play deals with the modern obsession of dieting. Set in the Easi-Slim diet club we meet the highly driven Pam (Isobel Mahon) and the motherly Breda (Rose Henderson). Both attend the weekly clinic for the weigh-in and strike up an unlikely friendship. Easi-Slim’s recent new member - upwardly mobile Pam McGowan - has cruised into town in her soft top sports car. Pam has reached her target weight and has only signed up to maintain, and brag about the four stone she’s lost. Breda has diligently attended the Easi-Slim meetings but just can’t manage to win the battle of the bulge – until Pam comes along to power-walk her into shape.

Secret Places Michelle Rogers Inspired by Patrick Kavanagh, Secret Places is a series of paintings by Dundalk born artist and activist Michelle Rogers. Rogers explores the places where we feel completely united with nature - private places, places of personal magic, shrouded in myth - the places we escape to in order to feel ourselves alive. The Matchmaker John B Keane 14 Mary McEvoy and Jon Kenny star in John B Keane’s comedy drama exploring June rural loneliness and the search for love late in life. The play follows the efforts of Dicky Mick Dicky O’Connor to make matches for the lonely and lovelorn. An Táin Arts Centre Summer Camp Presented by From the Top Theatre School A two-week musical theatre summer camp for boys and girls aged 6 – 18 years. Get the chance to perform in Wizmania on the stage of An Táin Arts Centre. This camp is ideal for students with an interest in performance and musical theatre. Take part in classes in theatre, dancing, music, arts and crafts during morning classes and then rehearse for the staged production of Wizmania in the afternoon. This two-week camp culminates in a fully produced musical with lights, sound, set and costume. *Please note, students must have completed two weeks of camp in order to have a part in the final production* CAMP WIZMANIA TOTS Theatre, dance, singing, arts and crafts! El Harrington An exploration of how we connect to our environment through material choices, considering ideas of human and geologic time, and how we position ourselves in a culture of disposability. HERITAGE WEEK CERAMIC WORKSHOP 24th August 11.00am-1.00pm A material journey through form, surface and mark-making, exploring how we think about and make objects, and what they can tell us of their journey of making and use. Participants will get to try hand-building with clay and learn different techniques for creating texture and surface decoration in order to make their own Neolithic pot. Heritage Week: Exploring Dundalk Explore the heritage and architecture of Dundalk from a unique perspective, on the first and second floor level of a Bus Éireann double-decker.
