CULTURE NIGHT CORK COUNTY 2019 As Culture Night Ambassador for Cork County I am delighted to invite you all to come, see and experience the amazing programme of events happening throughout Cork County on Culture Night. Whether you’re interested in dance, music, literature or puppetry join us, there is something for everyone. With over one hundred events, Culture Night showcases the outstanding creativity and talents of local and international artists. N MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR As Mayor of the County of Cork, I am delighted to invite you all to participate in COUNTY HALL Culture Night this year. Culture Night is an All-Island event which takes place this year on Friday the 20th of September 2019. It is a wonderful opportunity for us all to experience the best that our county’s culture has to offer, across a vast array of disciplines including Music, Poetry and Literature, Languages, Heritage, Drama, Arts/Crafts, Architecture and so much more. W E The continuing success of Culture Night is entirely to the credit of the amazing groups and artists who take part and I wish to thank everyone involved. I also wish to acknowledge the work of the Council’s Arts Office Team and Culture Night Coordinator, Muireann Kelleher for helping to organise this great celebration of culture and creativity. This booklet is a very useful guide to all that is on offer for Culture Night. The financial support of the Department of Culture, Heritage and the S Gaeltacht is also acknowledged and appreciated.
