OBJEKT 5
Bringing together two Australian contemporary dance companies, Australian Dance
Theatre and Co:3 Australia, comes the Adelaide return season of Objekt by
Garry Stewart.
Objekt begins in a surreal world where bodies are seen as aestheticised objects of art,
and gradually transitions to a sociological depiction of humans as objects of subjugation
and objectification. Blurring the borders between visual arts and dance, Objekt plays with
our perception and makes us see the human body in compelling ways that are unique,
arresting and at times, confronting.
First presented in Australia in 2016, critics called it “Extremely powerful”, Dance Australia
and “A riveting and exciting artistic achievement reflecting quality collaboration on all
levels”, InDaily.

Throughout the day students will get active and engage in three
practical technique workshops with professional dancers and

successfully manage the SACE Dance Curriculum.
Note
Participants must wear appropriate dance gear. They are also expected to understand
safe dance practices and dance class procedures. Teachers hold the duty of care and
