It is a really good thing to live in a host
family. My Irish mother is very kind and it
is good to practise English with her. She
always serves good food, and you do not
feel alone in a new country. Her husband
is friendly and their child is always talking

Programmes
Griffith College offers a wide social calendar dis-
tributed monthly to students. Events are organi-
sed by our social coordinator and available to all
students. Events range from sports, cultural ac-
tivities, day trips, overnight trips and nights out
in the local bars. Students can also join over 50
different sport teams and associations. Griffith
students also participate in Freshers’ week, chari-
ty events, and the seasonal Halloween and Christ-
mas events. Griffith College Dublin, Cork and
Limerick students have the opportunity to attend
the annual Griffith Ball in Dublin where students
can celebrate the end of the academic year.
