 The children will be dismissed from the school hall by four
   groups:
      o “School Bus”,
      o “Student Care Centre”,
o “The Foyer” (for those to be fetched by car),

procedures for 7 Jan 2013 onwards will be given to you
in a letter on 2 Jan 2013.

2. Pupil’s Attire & Appearance

While in school, your child is required to be in school uniform.
He/She should also wear white socks and black canvas shoes.
Physical Education (PE) attire should only be worn on days
when there are PE lessons and Mass PE (on Fridays).

Name tags are compulsory for the following attire: pinafore for
the girls, shirts for the boys and PE T-shirts. The name tag
should be sewn just above the school crest on the pinafore (for
girls), just above the pocket on the shirt (for boys) and above the
school crest for the PE T-shirt (for all students).

We would like to apologise to the parents whom we had
communicated earlier to have it done otherwise. It is okay with
us if you had already done so based on our earlier advice. This
                                3
is because feedback from parents is that it would be better for
the name tag to be above the crest as well as for consistency.
Once again we apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Girls with long hair should have it tied up or plaited neatly with
blue or black elastic bands or hairclips. Fanciful hairclips are
not allowed. Boys should keep their hair short and neat.

Girls are not allowed to fanciful or dangling earrings. Only ear
studs are acceptable.

3. Recess

Please note that only two adults per child are allowed to come
into the school canteen during recess time to observe the
interaction between your child and his/her buddy for the first 3
days of school, 2 to 4 January 2013.

                      Buddy System
We will be assigning a Meridian JC buddy
to every Primary 1 pupil. This buddy will
take care of your child and show him/her how to buy food during
recess for the first 3 days of school.

If you wish to pack food for your child for his or her recess, you
may do so but please ensure that the food is still suitable for
consumption by recess time.
