COVID-19 PROTOCOLS & INFORMATION UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY COVID-19 HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINES On June 14, 2021, new University of Kentucky campus policies regarding COVID-19 were implemented. These reflect current recommendations of the CDC, direction from state government, guidance from health department officials and the counsel of UK’s START team of health scientists and clinicians. Per UK’s COVID-19 Health & Safety Guidelines: Masks: Masks are required inside of all University of Kentucky indoor spaces, including both our academic and medical campuses, regardless of an individual’s vaccination status. Vaccines: Vaccines are not mandated, but strongly encouraged. UK will continue to monitor this issue and change plans, if necessary, to ensure the health and safety of our campus. Lisa Higgins-Hord Acting Executive Director for OLLI at UK ABOUT THE ACTING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR OLLI AT UK Lisa is the Assistant Vice President for Community Engagement. At UK, she develops, implements and assesses significant community-based projects that create robust partnerships between the University community (faculty, students and staff ) and local, state and regional constituencies. The responsibilities within the University Community Engagement department include the AmeriCorps VISTA Program and the Office of Lifelong Learning. Lisa is a former Councilwoman for District 6 in Lexington, Kentucky. She is also active in many state and local activities. Currently, Lisa serves on the Bank of the Bluegrass & Trust Board, Co-Chair of the Lexington Black Prosperity Initiative, Chair of the Carnegie Center for Literacy Board and serves on the Town Branch Project (Town Branch Partner). She is also a partner of the Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Consortium at the University of Kentucky which provides training, access and opportunities for faculty and their classes regarding community projects. Lisa was born in Harlan County, Kentucky and raised in Lexington. Lisa continued her education at the University of Kentucky where she received her Bachelor’s and a Master's Degree. Lisa is a graduate of the Center for Organizational and Technological Advancement’s Academy for Leaders at Virginia Tech. She is also a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa, National Honor Leadership Society. 5
SPRING 2022 REGISTRATION RESOURCES REGISTRATION DIRECTIONS Visit www.uky.edu/olli/how-to for the online registration step-by-step guide. After reading the reg- istration guide, go to the online registration site, uky.augusoft.net – Read through FAQs for import- ant information. Online registrants will be able to view and print their confirmation information immediately after registering. Receipts will automatically be emailed. IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION • The OLLI at UK Member Handbook is available at https://www.uky.edu/olli/olli-handbook • Request to register does not guarantee enrollment. • Instructors cannot override OLLI registration procedures. Please contact OLLI Office for assistance. IF YOU ARE HAVING REGISTRATION ISSUES 1. Be sure if you have a new email address, contact teresa.hager@uky.edu. The email on your profile has to match your current email or you will not be able to log in. 2. When registering for classes, don’t stop in between adding to cart and paying. If you take too long, walk away from your computer, etc., you will get an error. 3. Do not wait on your computer earlier than classes opening or you may receive an error message. 4. If your billing address is different than your profile address, please add your billing address when paying. 5. When paying, enter straight numbers, no - or / when entering your credit card number. ZOOM TRAINING & RESOURCES Fridays at 2pm* - Zoom Basics Training Join a Zoom meeting with OLLI staff to learn the basics of using Zoom, such as how to mute/unmute your microphone, how to enable/disable your camera, adjust settings/audio, how to change your name on Zoom, how to use the Chat panel, and more. Caudill Fellowship for Adults 65 and Older The Caudill Fellowship allows students, 65 and older, to attend MSU at no cost. To be eligible for the Caudill Fellowship, applicants must complete the application for admission to Morehead State University at: https://www.moreheadstate.edu/ Admissions/Undergraduate/Apply-Now. Transcripts or other forms may be required to process applications by Enrollment Services. Students already accepted for study at MSU do not have to reapply for admission to be eligible for the Caudill Fellowship.
