COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA):

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a connection between a local farmer
and the people who eat the food that the farm produces. The essence of the relationship is
one of mutual commitment: the farm feeds the people; the people support the farm and both
share in the inherent risks of farming and in the potential bounty.

HOW DOES A CSA MEMBERSHIP WORK?
Generally, CSA members pay for their seasonal harvest before the season
begins. This helps finance the farmer’s costs at the beginning of the
season. Then CSA members pick up their shares weekly or biweekly
during the growing season. Members usually have an opportunity to meet
their farmer, visit the farm, participate in special events and volunteer.
