We showed the World Cup Final on November
2nd. Even though we didn’t get the result we all
wanted, it was great to see so many members
of the Churchdown community come on down
and have a few drinks to cheer on the lads.
Our junior section is continuing to thrive with
record numbers that are increasing every
weekend. Our Junior chairman Paddy Mullis
and the Army of junior coaches are continuing
to work hard to ensure the future of the club

Make our vegan shortbread with olive oil for a buttery flavour and cornflour to get the crumbliness of
traditional versions. They taste great with nut butter
PREP: 20 MINS. COOK: 20 MINS. SERVES 12-14
Ingredients Heat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4, and line a
baking sheet with parchment or a baking mat. Roll
250g plain flour, plus extra for dusting the dough out on a lightly floured work surface
75g caster sugar, plus 1 tbsp to a 5mm thickness and use a round or fluted
½ tbsp cornflour cutter, about 6cm diameter, to cut out shortbread
1 tsp vanilla extract rounds. Use a small palette knife to transfer to the
160ml light olive oil baking sheet. Can be frozen on the baking tray,
