Message from the Human Resources Manager
In its 50th year of serving the community as the sole higher education provider in the midlands, our award-winning Institute
is very proud of its many achievements and successes. We recognise and acknowledge that these achievements would not
have been possible without the commitment and dedication of all our staff.

The Athlone Institute of Technology Strategic Plan 2019 – 2023 “A Technological University for the Region”, was launched
in September 2019. The success of the Institutes Strategic Plan can only be accomplished with a strong sense of shared
ownership amongst all members of the Institute community.

Our HR Strategy “Building a Technological University Together”, has been developed to support the key priorities as
outlined in the Institute Strategic Plan 2019 – 2023, in which every member of the Institute is enabled to achieve their full
potential:

“Building a Technological University Together”, envisages a supportive, developmental environment and diverse culture
based on five key goals which are mapped to the overall Institute Strategic Plan

It is our people that make the difference and the HR Department will continue to support, nurture and develop the talented
people that are AIT. “Building a Technological University Together” is a programme that will respond to the priorities of the
