At the end of 2018, the projects funded allowed to:
Safeguard 7,010 people from flood risk (more than expected by the Programme – 6,400);
Involving 7 institutions in the development of a network of the historical and cultural heritage of
the islands;
Implement waste management measures in 22 ports in the cross-border area;
Increase the surface area of habitats benefiting from a support to 850,000 hectares to obtain a
better conservation status;
prepare 2 coastal erosion plans as planned.
For the other physical realizations foreseen it will be necessary to wait for a further
implementation of the projects as many of them started only in the first months of
