FESTIVAL
Even as the number of Books written on sports has increased manifold,
not only in India but across the world, there was no platform with the
right scale and canvas bringing authors and sports persons of
international acclaim together.
The Sports Literary Festival combines the written word with the
burgeoning world of Indian andworld sport. Global sport stars are
increasinglu coming out with biographies, plus thousands of books are
published by authors and journalists.
With prominent authors and sportspersons
coming to Brampton, the festival will
bring the ‘ethnoburb’ of Toronto center-stage
and cement its position as a modern,
thriving, culturally diverse city of Canada.
Most successful festivals around the world
are created organically through public-
private partnerships.
Brampton has always been ahead of its time
and growth in the city over the years has
been massive.
A Sports Literature Festival with the
patronage of the Mayor’s Office will give the
Flower City and its multicultural population
an experience to
remember.
