You may have noticed that the front gate
arm was down for a longer than usual
time. It was knocked down twice in two

RAT PATROL
Remember the 1971 movie Willard and
its 2003 sequel? This tale of a young
sociopath whose only friends are rats is
the only story I know in which rats and
humans are happy together. And it’s still
a monumentally creepy film.
Now we’ve had our own Willard-ish

may not have overtly befriended our
local rats, but we certainly provided them
