KGC Parlour Show Schedule 2021
Let’s make our Parlour Show fun; a chance to share the lovely plants you are enjoying in
your garden and home.
The following directions refer to
when we can once again have in person meetings.
In the meantime please follow the attached
directions for Zoom meetings.
Entries are presented by all of you for the enjoyment of all of us and this is a great chance
to share your successes and passions. But we do have a few guidelines, just to ensure we
are all on the same page:
1. All entries must be from your own garden or home unless stated otherwise in this
schedule
2. Only one entry per class from each member but please enter each and every class if
you wish.
3. All entries should adhere to the schedule, even those that are not judged.
4. Please write and display your name and name(s) of the plants, if known.
5. All entries must be in place on the designated tables by 6:50 p.m.
6. Trophy classes are marked with an asterisk (*). Trophies will be presented to the
winners and the winner will be given a medallion to keep. Points earned in the trophy
classes will be tallied and the member with the most points earned in the twelve judged
trophy classes will be presented with the KGC Aggregate Trophy at the December
Christmas Party.
7. All judging will be done by certified Floral Art and/or Horticultural Judges.
8. To add variety and challenge to our Parlour Show, we have added in a few new
classes.
9. The Show and Tell class is designed for members to bring any plant, flower, fruit or
vegetable that is unusual or would be of special interest to the members. (This includes
any fruits or vegetables that you especially want to show). - And, we encourage people
to talk about their prized horticultural specimens to other members. We can all learn.
10. The following is a tentative schedule for the year. Please check the newsletter each
month as changes sometimes need to be made depending on the weather.
