Title I, Part A Schoolwide Program (SWP) Implementation Statutory Requirements
Element 1: The Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA) is included for all campuses. The 2020-21 CIP Development and Review Timeline is attached to this plan. It includes
dates that the data was analyzed, the CIP was developed/revised, and the CIP will be evaluated.
Element 2: CIP Requirements are identified as Strategies. Once published, a living draft of this plan can be found on the campus’ school page at www.austinisd.org/schools. The
list of individuals and their roles who assisted with the development of the CIP is included in this plan.
Element 3: Parent and Family Engagement Requirements, including the Parent/Family Engagement written policy, can be found within the Title I compliance packet, which is
available upon request from the campus principal. The signed Principal Confirmation checklist is attached to this plan.

Parent/Family Engagement Policy
This ,letter is for Kocurek Elementary families to inform them of the Parent/Family Engagement
Policy. The policy states as follows:
l. f'amiUes will receive the Parenotramily Engagement Policy during the first six weeks of the
school year to Iet families know of the parental involvement during the development and
review of the campus improvement plan.
ll. It will be the responsibility of school staff to establish a two way conrmunication process
with parens and families regarding their children's academic progress. This should
include, but not be limited to: progress reports, report cards, telephone calls, notes,
newsletters, etc.
lll. The school will make every effort to communicate wittr parents in a language that is
understandable. Communication with parens may include, but not be limited to
homework, telephone Eees, electronic mail, newsletters, meetings, etc.
lV. Kocurek Elementary will hold an annual meeting during the first six weeks to discuss the
Title I school-wide programs.
V. Monthly meetings will be held on the last Friday of every month at 8:00 am (Principal
Coffee via Zoom) and first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm (PTA).
Vl. Parens will be given the oppornrnity to provide input and make recommendafions
regarding ttre Campus lmprovement Plan, the Titte I program, and the Parent lnvolvement
Policy through the Parent Advisory Council, the CAC or/and at parent meetings.
Vll. During the first six weeks of school, parents will be provided information regarding the
school's curriculum and types of academic assessmens used to measure stLldent
progress/proficiency levels that students are expected to meet.
Vlll. In order to meet the changing needs of our school, the Parent Involvement Policy will be
reviewed/updated during the annual Campus Improvement Plan revision process.
