TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
M2000
The dimensions are: Width 420 mm, Depth 400 mm, Height of the backseat 320 mm.
OMSI’s model M2000 is a stadium seat with high backrest which grants the user to enjoy the sport event in the
maximum comfort without sacrificing strength and durability.
Manufactured with copolymer polypropylene derived from differentiated waste collection and / or industrial waste
(PSV-second life plastic-version); certified by IPPR (Institute for the promotion of recycled plastics) fireproof and
addictivated in the mass with sub¬stance resistant to UV rays (standard or long range protection) dimen¬sionally
complying with the recommendations of FIFA/UEFA and with CAM standards (Minimum environmental criteria)
M2000 in virgin polypropilene is also available.
It is considered the most resistant seat against vandalism and it is installed in huge stadia where vandalism is
very common. It has also been licensed for utility model n. 252211 – n. 252212.
Complying with latest recommendations of FIFA/UEFA and FIBA approved and the European standards UNI EN
13200-1-4; tested by appropriate national and certified labs, specialized with wood and furniture, M2000 also
complies with European standards UNI EN 12727:20017
(level 4 – severe).
M2000 is injected using Gas Moulding technology with polypropylene copolymer, coloured with first quality
materials and is fire resistant with class of reaction 1, also addicted with an Anti-UV substances (standard or long
period resistance).
The “heart” and the strength of the seat are given by an annular rib of 20 mm thick which extends from the base
to the whole perimeter of the backrest; 2 vertical ribs of 2.5 mm thickness join together the base and back. Under
the shell, a weave of ribs of 2.5 / 3 mm thickness and increased plastic thickness next to the fixing points give an
excellent stability to the whole seat once installed. The thickness of the annular ribs along the whole perimeter of
the seat goes from 4 to 17 mm. In general, the thickness of the polypropylene ranges from 2.5 to 20 mm.
The weight of the shell is of 1,75 Kg.
The surface of the seat appears to be shiny and smooth to prevent dirt accumulation and facilitate cleaning.
The front lip of the seat is embracing the edge of the step once installed. The whole perimeter of the body is lay-
ing on the step avoiding accumulation of dirt. The two slots for the six fixing points measure 230 x 40 mm each,
and each contains 3 holes at a regular distance of 80 mm; possibility of adding a steel plate of dimensions 190 x
25, 3 mm thick that helps to increase of 40% the strength of the seat if kicked from behind the backrest.
Seat numbers, 48x18 mm are made with plastic material (or aluminium) and are located in the appropriate slot in
the front part of the seat for easier viewing from below by climbing the steps. The plate is fixed using n.2 special
rivets 4x12 mm GRAF Model to maintain the antivandalism characteristics.
Installation options:
1. Direct on concrete step in 4/6 points with M8/M10 anchors;
2. Riser mounted on a polyamide or metal bracket in 4 points using M8/M10 anchors;
3. Floor mounted on metal beam fixed to the step floor in 4 points with M8/M10 anchors.
