                                                                       • Turn the dryer off if you leave home or when you go to bed.
                                                                       • Keep the area around your dryer clear of things that can burn,
                                                                         like boxes, cleaning supplies and clothing, etc.
                                                                       • Clothes that have come in contact with flammable
                                                                         substances, like gasoline, paint thinner, or similar solvents
                                                                         should be laid outside to dry, then can be washed and dried
                                                                         as usual.

                                                                    We are hopeful the LBS marina will open as scheduled on Satur-
                                                                    day May 23rd. If so, our first sailboat race day will be Sunday May
                                                                    24th at 1:00pm. On race days the pontoon boat is reserved at
                                                                    5:00 for an evening of appetizers, drinks and camaraderie.
                                                                    “Sailing For Fun” will take place every Saturday from June 6th
                                                                    through September 12th starting at 12:30pm. Members provide
                                                                    sailboat rides and instruction for interested LBS residents.
                                                                    Membership is only $30 per year which includes:

Members’ Plant Exchange—May 21st, 9:30 A.M. Members can
drop-off plants they wish to share at the home of Bonnie Keck,
located at 691 Golf Lane, on Wednesday, May 20th. They will be
sorted according to sun or shade and ready to be picked-up on
Thursday, May 21st. Plants can be placed in small plastic baggies
or other small containers. This is a nice way for new gardeners
to get started, as well as seasoned gardeners to share and visit
with other gardeners.

SHORESMEN                                                           LBS 9 AND DINE GOLF LEAGUE MEMBERSHIP 2020
                                                                    The 9 and Dine Golf League is a group of residents and non-
                                                                    residents, who get together one Friday a month and play 9 or 18
                                                                    holes of golf, followed by cocktails and dinner. The league is open
                                                                    to all golfers—we will pair you up if you do not have a group, and
                                                                    you sign up and play when your schedule permits. The league
                                                                    also has a Social Membership, which allows the non-golfer to
                                                                    join us for cocktails and dinner and participate in all social
                                                                    functions. So if you golf and your spouse does not, the non-
                                                                    golfing spouse can join you later for dinner. If you’re single, please
                                                                    join the group for golf and social...a great way to meet people.

LADIES’ 9 HOLE
This is the year where flexibility is critical and locking down a
firm schedule is challenging at best.
The Women’s 9 Hole Golf League opening day of golf, planned
for April 30th, was cancelled and the start of the season is now
targeted for Thursday, May 7th—if the golf course is allowed to
open and the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. The opening
brunch previously scheduled for May 14th is cancelled. League
Members: stay tuned for email updates as plans/schedules may
rapidly change.
