• PSLE – a placement exam 按小六会考成绩分派中学
• Places pupils into different courses according to their

• Enables posting to secondary schools by merit and as
  far as possible into a school of their choice 让孩子们根

• What is PSLE Aggregate Score?
   • It is a sum of the T-score of the 4 subjects
   • It allows pupils to be ranked fairly

• Raw scores are not used because:
   • Different subjects have different levels of difficulty
   • A need for standardization of raw scores  t-score

• From the 2019 DSA-Sec, students will be able to
  apply for DSA through a centralized DSA-Sec
  Application Portal, using a common application

Making Choices for DSA 选择学校
• Each applicant can indicate up to three choices using the DSA-
  Sec Portal 只能申请3所学校
         • Choice order does not matter

• Applicant can choose to apply to two different talent areas,
  under the same school 用两项才艺项目
         • Secondary schools have the prerogative to shortlist students for the stronger area

Note. Students can apply separately to SOTA and/or SSP, on top of the three choices made using the
DSA-Sec Portal. 可另加申请体育学校和艺术学校
