                    ADOPTION OF ROAD MANAGEMENT PLAN 2021–2023
    In accordance with section 54(5) of the Road Management Act 2004 (Act), Strathbogie Shire
Council gives notice that it has completed a review of its Road Management Plan. Following a
4-week period of public consultation in which submissions were received Council formally adopted
the revised Road Management Plan 2021–2023 at its meeting on 21 September 2021.
    Council has considered that:
    the standards in relation to, and the priorities to be given to, the inspection, maintenance and
    repair of the roads and classes of road are reasonable and appropriate; and
    the standards, in the form of Council’s inspection frequency, intervention requirements and
    response times, are considered reasonable having regard to the appropriate policy and budgetary
    settings in which the plan is to be considered.
    Notable changes to the Plan include:
    identification of stakeholders;
    diagram to assist with determining who has accountability for the road;
    figures to describe the most common operational demarcation scenario found for the arterial
    road network;
    provision of clearer explanations and additional definitions.
