Temple University has been awarded the Pennsylvania
County WIC program that serves over 40,000 families.
The College of Public Health will be leading the

resources and partnerships to meet requirements

Open Positions
We seek an innovative leader to join Temple University as the Executive Director
of TU-WIC. Our ideal candidate is an experienced leader in an urban setting
who understands the population we serve; a leader who is passionate and
dedicated to building a program that will enhance the services provided to WIC
participants. The person who fills this position will have access to many resources
including the ability to tap into expert researchers, faculty, and dynamic and
dedicated students in the 20 disciplines within the College of Public Health
and in other Temple University and Temple University Health Systems units.
We also seek an Associate Director of Finance, an Associate Director of Outreach and
Community Services, a Director of Clinical Services, and a Department Coordinator.

  Executive Director, WIC Program, Philadelphia County
  The WIC Executive Director leads a large complex organization with multiple sites
  throughout Philadelphia, the largest WIC (Women, Infant and Children) program in
  Pennsylvania and one of the largest in the country. The position is responsible for
  planning, organizing, administering and coordinating the WIC Program. The WIC
  Executive Director’s foremost goals are to promote and maintain the health and
  well-being of nutritionally at-risk pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women,
  and infants and children. The Executive Director will assure that programs delivered
  are of the highest quality and reach the greatest number of eligible participants
  possible. TU-WIC is working with three other agencies in the community and with
  other components of Temple University and Temple University Health System. The
  Executive Director will lead that collaboration to create innovative approaches to
  service delivery and to offer expanded health and program options to WIC participants.

  Associate Director, Finance, WIC Program, Philadelphia County
  Under general direction of the TU-WIC Executive Director, the Associate Director
  supervises, plans, coordinates, and directs WIC financial, HR, facilities, equipment
  and compliance activities. Leadership is further required in confirming staff
  follow-through and navigation to alleviate delays or barriers to WIC benefit
  receipt and timely and complete submission of all required reporting.
  The Associate Director position at Temple University’s WIC program (TU-WIC) is
  a grant-funded position responsible for providing fiscal oversight to TU-WIC and
  its sub-awardees. The Associate Director manages, plans, and supervises the
  workflow and daily operations of the accounting and financial operations of TU-
  WIC under the direction of the executive director assists in the development and
  implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial
  management, budget, accounting, vendor monitoring, and payroll and manages
  facilities, technology/equipment, databases and compliance activities.

Associate Director, Outreach and Community
Services, WIC Program, Philadelphia County
As a member of the management team the Associate Director of Outreach
and Community Services (OCS) will develop and lead the Temple WIC
effort to develop effective and lasting partnerships with other community
agencies, health providers, local businesses, and organizations to increase
awareness of the WIC program and services to WIC recipients. In addition,
the incumbent will develop, refine, and lead outreach into the community
to retain and expand participation in WIC by eligible individuals.

Director of Clinical Services, WIC Program, Philadelphia County
Under general direction of the TU-WIC Executive Director, supervises, plans,
coordinates, and directs WIC clinic programs and services. In this leadership
position, the Director of Clinical Services is the expert resource in the WIC
clinics and pop-up programs he/she supervises throughout Philadelphia.
The Director of Clinical Services will facilitate access to WIC programs,
foster cross-discipline collaboration around patient/participant needs
to enable easy access to services, ensure efficiency, reduce redundancy
and streamline communications across programs and providers.
The Director of Clinical Services in understanding the complex nutritional needs
of vulnerable women and their young children will guide Philadelphia WIC in the
development of innovative program delivery services and assure that staff are working
efficiently and effectively to prevent delays or barriers to individuals applying for WIC
services and receiving WIC benefits and related healthcare programs and services.

Department Coordinator, WIC Program, Philadelphia County
The Department Coordinator for TU-WIC reports to the Executive Director and
coordinates day-to-day administrative and operational support for the department
provides logistical support for all TU-WIC’s activities and initiatives, including
ensuring that budgetary restrictions and compliance with University and WIC
policies are met. This may include collaboration with other units, arranging travel,
submitting expense reports, and procurement of external vendors. Moreover, the
Coordinator will work with the Executive Director on compliance with all local,
state, and federal guidelines and regulations for the management of WIC and any
related programs. The coordinator will manage calendars, schedule appointments
and meetings, and perform any necessary preparation and follow-up for these
meetings including management of confidential information and files.

The Temple University Speech-Language-Hearing Center is the clinical component of

Maternity Care Coalition
Since 1980, Maternity Care Coalition has assisted more than 135,000 families throughout
Southeastern Pennsylvania, focusing particularly on neighborhoods with high rates
of poverty, infant mortality, health disparities, and changing immigration patterns. We
know a family’s needs change as they go through the pregnancy and their child’s first
years and we offer a range of services and programs for every step along the way.
The Food Trust
The Food Trust is a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that everyone has
access to affordable, nutritious food and information to make healthy decisions. Headquartered
in Philadelphia, The Food Trust works with neighborhoods, schools, grocers, farmers and
