Welcome to the Prodigy All-Stars Cheerleading Family,

We are honored that you have chosen Prodigy – Montgomery and Frederick County’s newest premier
cheerleading gym. We look forward to providing every child with a safe, enjoyable and positive
atmosphere where valuable lessons on teamwork, dedication and good sportsmanship will empower
your child.

The information provided in this packet will help you understand more about Prodigy’s program, goals,
and the expectations of each athlete and parent in the organization. We have taken deep consideration
into multiple factors and have crafted a program that highlights open, clear and concise
communication; developmental milestones for the individual athlete and team; and more than just a
family atmosphere – we want to instill a lifelong passion for a sport that will forever live in the hearts of
each athlete.

PRACTICE

Practice for all Prodigy Half Year Prep teams will begin the week of December 3rd, 2018 and run until
April 2019. Beginning in February 2019, all practices will be held at our new Prodigy gym.

Due to construction at the Prodigy gym; tryouts and practice will be held at Commotion Fitness located at 13220
Wisteria Drive, Germantown, MD until February 2019. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and commitment
to Prodigy as we embark on our first All-Star season.

Discounts:
     Sibling Discount/2nd Child – 25% off lower priced tuition
        (No discount taken off commitment fees, competition entry fees, uniforms, practice wear, etc.)
     Sibling Discount/3rd Child – 50% off lower priced tuition
        (No discount taken off commitment fees, competition entry fees, uniforms, practice wear, etc.)
     Military Discount – 10% off monthly tuition

Referrals:
     1st referral - $20 credit to your Prodigy account
     2nd referral - $30 credit to your Prodigy account
     3rd – 5th referral - $45 credit to your Prodigy account
    Referrals must be listed on new family/athletes registration form at the time of registration.
    The new family/athlete must also commit to the Half Year program before any credits can be
    issued.

Competition travel fees and spectator fees are the responsibility of each Prodigy family and are not
included in any fees paid for in monthly tuition, registration or your commitment fee.

FUNDRAISING

Prodigy recognizes that all-star cheerleading, even a Half Year program, can be a huge financial
commitment for any family. Prodigy is committed this year to holding a fundraiser for each team, with
the help of each Prodigy family.

We are currently looking for a volunteer to head up fundraising activity at Prodigy. This volunteer would
need to help each team set up a fundraiser, create flyers and encourage team participation.

All funds received this season will go to the purchase of a program-approved Prodigy warm-up jacket.
All athletes who are members of a 2018 – 2019 Prodigy team will be required to purchase and wear the
program-approved jacket during competition events and additional Prodigy events per the
administration’s discretion.

        For qualifying teams, there will be the opportunity to attend the U.S. Finals in Virginia Beach, Va. The entire
        team must agree to attend and cover the cost. This competition entry fee is NOT included in the Half Year
        Prep program and will need to be paid immediately should the team decide to attend. Estimated entry fee is
        $80-$100 per athlete + $25 Coaches Fees.

CODE OF CONDUCT

We hold our staff, athletes and parents to high standards. It is important that athletes and parents are
aware of our expectations and the commitment that he or she is making to the team and Prodigy All-
Stars.

Please initial at the end of each section.

Athlete Expectations, Rules & Regulations
   Each athlete must conduct themselves while representing Prodigy in a manner that reflects
    positively on the entire team, staff and gym. We expect the highest level of sportsmanship at all our
    events.
   Each athlete will strive for excellence, bringing a willingness to work hard and take directions and
    refraining from being a distraction to others.
   Each athlete will follow additional rules/guidelines given by coaches or staff and stated in their
    athlete contract.
   Athletes will arrive to practice 10 min early already dressed in designated practice wear. Hair should
    be pulled up, shoes on, and jewelry off. Fingernails should be trimmed.
   Athletes will have a positive attitude, encouraging teammates and treating each other with respect
    at practices and competitions.
   Athletes will respect and obey all coaching staff during practices and competitions without displays
    of verbal or non-verbal negativity (eye rolling, back talk, complaining).
   Athletes will give a 100 percent effort to achieve personal and team goals.
   Bullying will not be tolerated.
   Theft will not be tolerated.
   Athletes will not post videos or music to social media/internet of routines without permission from
    a Prodigy staff member.
   Athletes will not post inappropriate pictures or language on any social media related to Prodigy, its
    staff and athletes. Failure to comply could result in an athlete being dismissed from the team
    and/or organization.
   The use of alcohol or drugs is not tolerated and will warrant immediate dismissal from the team.
Any violations from the above list could result in extra conditioning, sitting out of practice, or dismissal
from the program. _______

Parental Expectations, Rules and Regulations
   Athletes are expected to attend all practices and competitions. If the athlete has an excused
    absence, due to illness or family emergency, parents are to inform athlete’s coaches via text or
    email.
   Athletes are expected to be at practice on time. If the athlete will be late, parents are to inform
    athlete’s coaches via text or email.
   Parents are to fulfill any financial obligations on time.
   Parents are to encourage and support Prodigy athletes to be the best they can be.
   Parents are expected to show good sportsmanship and maintain good manners at all events.
   Parents will not post videos or music to social media/internet of routines without permission from a
    Prodigy staff member.
   Parents are not allowed to knock on viewing glass or open gym doors to get athlete’s attention
    during practice times (Please let the front desk know if you need your athlete and they will
    communicate with the coaching staff).
   Parents will bring all issues/concerns directly to all coaches of their team.
   Parents will not post inappropriate pictures or language on any social media related to Prodigy, its
    staff and athletes.
   Any negative or aggressive behavior towards Prodigy, its staff and athletes (including verbal, social
    media, website, email or text) will not be tolerated.
   The name Prodigy All Stars Cheerleading or any part of the trademark or logo may not be used
    without prior written consent from Prodigy All Stars Cheerleading. Any violation of this agreement
    may result in legal action.
Any violations from above can result in loss of parent viewing during practices or result in dismissal of
athlete from the program. _______

Competitions
   The highest standard of sportsmanship is expected from coaches, athletes and parents.
   Athletes must arrive prepared for competition. This includes a clean uniform, correct shoes and
    performance-ready appearance.
   Athletes are required to attend all competitions and stay through the awards ceremony. If parents
    are unable to stay for the entire competition, other arrangements should be made so the athlete
    can stay.
   Athletes and parents are expected to follow all Prodigy and hosting gym/company rules and
    regulations during competitions.
Any violations from above can result in loss of parent viewing during practices or result in dismissal of
athlete from the program. _______

Facilities
   No one is allowed in the gym without coach supervision or permission.
   No food or gum in the gym area.
   No water bottles on the mats.
   No climbing on the equipment or running across mats while other classes/practices are in progress.
   Athletes are expected to leave with all belongings they came with. This includes water bottles,
    bows and clothing.
   Athletes should respect the lobby area by not being loud, not tumbling, stunting or vandalizing
    property.
Any violations from above can result in loss of parent viewing during practices or result in dismissal of
athlete from the program. _________

APPEARANCE, V IDEO, AND PHOTO RELEASE

I hereby authorize Prodigy All Stars Cheerleading to publish photographs and videos taken of my minor
child or children listed below for use in Prodigy’s print, online, and video-based marketing materials, as
well as other Prodigy All Stars Cheerleading publications. I hereby release and hold harmless Prodigy All
Stars Cheerleading from any reasonable expectation of privacy or confidentiality for myself or the
minor child/children listed below associated with the images specified above.

Further, I attest that I am a parent or legal guardian of the child or children listed below and that I have
full authority to consent and authorize Prodigy All Stars Cheerleading LLC to use their likeness, I further
acknowledge that participation is voluntary and that neither I, the minor child, or minor children will
receive financial compensation of any type associated with the taking or publication of these
photographs and/or videos or of said photos confers no rights of ownership or royalties, whatsoever.

I hereby release Prodigy All Stars Cheerleading LLC, its contractors, its employees and any third parties
involved in the creation or publication of Prodigy’s publications, from liability for any claims by me or
any third party in connection with my participation or the participation of the minor children listed
below.

entering into the Prodigy All-Stars Cheerleading program of my own free will. I understand what is
expected of me as a parent and an all-star cheerleader. I will conduct myself in a sportsmanlike manner
and uphold the standards that are expected of me as a Prodigy All-Star parent and cheerleader.

 I understand that I am liable for and hereby authorize Prodigy All Stars Cheerleading to withdraw funds
from my account for the purpose of any outstanding fees related to my account and that all fees are

to practice, dismissal from Prodigy, and being sent to a collections agency.
