Who We Are
Cam Cam Copenhagen is a family-owned company by Danish architect couple Sara & Robert. Throughout
their careers as architects they have created architecture with the ambition to design sustainable buildings that
embodied a design and material quality that would be appreciated for generations to come. Their approach
to product design is the same. Timeless design, built upon a classical tradition of quality, combined with
contemporary methods of sustainable production, and always living up to the strictest safety standards. Sara and
Robert have four children and live and work in beautiful Copenhagen.
How It Started
Cam Cam Copenhagen originated in 2012, shortly after their daughter Olivia was born. Sara was searching
for products for baby Olivia that combined timeless design with sustainable production. Products that were
appropriate for children yet fit into her Scandinavian approach to interior design, where material quality meets
subtle expression. When she could not find what she was searching for, Sara decided to make it herself. Soon
Sara´s own creations caught the interest of others, and it was clear that there was a definite demand for products
with these qualities, in contrast to the more vibrant color palette that was primarily available at that time.
Our Collection
The Cam Cam Copenhagen collection is based on providing a wide range of quality products for the first years
of a child´s life. The colors and patterns we create are consistently designed to fit into the overall collection, so
various products will complement each other and ensure a harmonious and beautiful result. The product range
is built upon the daily needs of parents and child, from the quiet and contemplative moments to supporting the
child´s development, creativity and well-being. There are many practical necessities when raising a child –
we strive to make these necessary products a beautiful addition to one´s surroundings.
Our Commitments
Sustainable & Organic Production
We are committed to only producing textile products that live up to the ambitious requirements of the certified
GOTS and OCS standards and our furniture is produced of FSC-certified wood and finished with VOC–free
paint. Cam Cam Copenhagen is a GOTS-certified company as well as all our textiles manufacturers. Apart from
organic textile production, GOTS also ensures healthy working conditions, fair wages, and the use of renewable
energy and resources, including solar power and water recycling.
Life-Cycle
We also design our products to have the longest life-cycle possible, which is one of the most meaningful
parameters for sustainability. Our changing table is easily transformed into a beautiful cabinet and our play-gym,
which can easily be turned into a play tent and be enjoyed for children from birth up until the age of 7-8 years.
Life-cycle also includes design and quality to last for generations to come.
Charity
Cam Cam Copenhagen supports a number of charities to help the improvement and well-being of children in
Denmark and abroad. These charities include: SOS Children´s Villages, Danish Cancer Research for Children,
UNICEF, Red Cross and Mother’s Help.

PRESENTATION OF SS 2019
This season is inspired by the 1920’s. A most inspiring era – a time when society was emerging from the first World War,
where the will to live and overcome overshadowed the mournful events of the past. This is also where women’s liberation
began – women started working during the war, because of the lack of men at home – and some continued after the war.
In many European countries this is also where women won their right to vote. Women started experimenting with short
haircuts and more practical clothes, short dresses and pants.
This is the time of Art Deco, a finely decorated modernism, with references from previous ornamented traditions.
HOLIDAY
Our new Holiday print shows the fun-loving and playful people of the ’20s. They might be going to a summer fair to see
a hot air balloon, or an airplane for the first time, or they might be indulging in various recreational activities. There’s a
carefreeness to the characters and a liberating air about grown up people who take time to simply play and enjoy life.
DANDELION
The new dandelion print is an ode to the pretty withering dandelions, which are actually most beautiful when withering,
right before they loose their fluffy seeds, which are seen drifting through the air around the month of May.
The composition of the print is also Art Deco inspired, consisting of a floral motif in a repetitive composition, although
more freely composed, the result being similar a starry night, or fireworks, with stars sprinkled across the sky.
The Dandelion print is available in ‘Natural’ – which is composed of warm earth tones like sand, crème and light brown to
create a warm, soft and peaceful atmosphere.
The Dandelion print is also available in ‘Rose’ – a charming rose combination, composed of a light powder background
and accented with muted blush tones on the dandelions, which draws inspiration from the soft summer flowers.
HEART KID’S CHAIR & TABLE
The Heart Chair Collection is a new interpretation of the much loved Scandinavian classic heart kids chair. The original
chair was produced by various carpenters in the 1950’s for their own use, and was never put into production. The original
chairs are very hard to find today despite their popularity, so we chose to reintroduce the chair in our own interpretation
and available in the Cam Cam Copenhagen color palette. We felt it was a great loss of Danish furniture tradition, if these
chairs simply disappeared out of our consciousness. We’ve made a few modifications to the design to make it a bit more
contemporary while preserving the design essence of the chair. We have for example designed the chair so it is flat-packed,
making it possible to ship the product easily and economically. We’ve designed a matching round table, with the similar
rounded legs and detailing. The Heart Chair series is a children’s furniture collection, which has won the hearts of many in
the past and that can be shared for generations to come.
HARLEQUIN CABINET
A smaller cabinet with the characteristic Harlequin ornamentation on the door fronts, designed for wall-mounting. Ideal
for clothing for the smallest ones or for books and toys in the kid’s room. Can stand alone or be combined with additional
pieces to make an elegant addition to the room.
HARLEQUIN SHELF
A wall-mounted shelf for the baby or kid’s room, with sides and a Harlequin front, to ensure that nothing falls off the shelf.
It makes it possible for the children themselves to maintain order in the room. Created by experienced parents, who know
how hard it can be with an overly stuffed shelf, where small toys and books frequently end on the floor.

CREATING CHILDHOOD MEMORIES
The Harlequin furniture series now includes all the furniture you need for the children’s room. The name Harlequin refers
to the rhombus shaped pattern, known from the wonderful Pierrot la Lune ballet.
When asking Founder/ Creative Director of Cam Cam Copenhagen, Sara Camre, about the design of the furniture, she
explains: ‘We always aim at creating contemporary products with a reference to classical design. Our design has to be
original, but at the same time have a degree of familiarity - maybe reminding you of something from your own childhood.
The familiarity arises in people with classical references, like the Harlequin pattern, because you have seen it in other
constellations previously, maybe on a piece of fabric, maybe painted on an old dresser from your grandmother’s attic. We
also create classical references in the detailing of the furniture, creating a level of craftsmanship seldom found in modern
furniture. At the same time we are also creating new precious childhood memories.

The sleeping bag has become a part of our youngest bedtime routine. The colours and print

We recently transitioned into solids, and we love that the bib is soft on the inside and with a nice
water repellent print on the outside. The adjustable push buttons mean it fits her little neck perfectly
and will continue to do so, as she grows.
THE WEEKEND BAG
I love to take Aya on a little promenade and as many parents do, I usually take far more than I

peacocks and rainbows with clouds and raindrops and play rare tunes like ‘Summertime’ and ‘Clair de Lune’.
When asking Founder of Cam Cam Copenhagen, Sara Giese Camre, where the inspiration comes from, she says: ‘When
designing the Peacock Mobile, I had just watched Downton Abbey series and I was very inspired by their beautiful universe, so
I asked myself ‘What would a mobile look like in the nursery of Downton Abbey?’ and this was what came into my mind.’
‘I just want to create a harmonius world of dreams and poetry for the little ones, which inspires them, soothes them, makes
them giggle and light their imagination. This is what we strive to do with every product, Sara continues.’
