THE HISTORICAL FOOTWEAR MUSEUM
                             Ancient traditions and contemporary art

The Riviera del Brenta is a famous district known for the excellence of its luxury footwear worldwide. The origin of
the success of artisan entrepreneurship in the high-quality shoe sector dates back to the 13th-14th century, in
close connection with the movements of Venetian nobles. When the wealthy patricians of the Serenissima went
up the Brenta river to spend their summer holidays in their villas they used to be accompanied by servants,
including the "calegheri", cobblers and others who gradually brought their knowledge and their artisan art to the
areas of the Riviera. Among the most famous luxury shoe shops we find: Fratelli Rossi in Vigonza, Del Brenta in
Perarolo di Vigonza, BB Shoes in Fiesso, Corte della Pelle in Fiesso, Voltan in Strà and Tacchificio Riviera in
Vigonovo. In addition to the exclusive shopping that the Riviera offers, it is possible to visit the Museum of
Historical Footwear at Villa Foscarini in Strà, which tells the story of the Rossi family in the footwear sector, but is
also a collector of knowledge and the history of stylistic evolution of a brand.

majestic Arena is rightly famous; it is an ancient Roman amphitheater which hosts the opera season every
summer as well as numerous other concerts and shows. Walking through the historic center you can admire the
splendid noble palaces, a reminder of ancient splendor, and the imposing military palaces, such as Palazzo
Barbieri, now the seat of the municipality, and Palazzo della Gran Guardia. It is impossible not to be fascinated by

is the ancient and precious Capitular Library. Our half-day itinerary in Verona consists of a guided walk to admire
from the outside the most famous buildings of the historic center, such as the squares, the House of Romeo and
Juliet, the Scaligeri Archaeological Sites, the Arena and the archaeological excavations.

   WINE ROAD
VALPOLICELLA AND THE AMARONE TOUR
                                        Through art and flavour

The hilly area of Valpolicella, located north-west of Verona, is strongly characterized by the presence of vineyards,
which extend as far as the eye can see in a hilly landscape enriched by imposing Venetian villas, parish churches,
courtyards and churches. The vast wine production of Valpolicella finds its maximum expression in Amarone, a
wine appreciated and exported all over the world. The term Amarone contains a clear reference to 'amaro', an
adjective adopted to distinguish Amarone from the sweetness of Recioto, the sweet and velvety wine from which
it originated. This itinerary includes in the morning a visit to two historic wineries with tasting of Amarone and
Valpolicella. Afterwards, lunch at a typical restaurant, where you can taste the specialties of traditional cuisine
while admiring the panorama of the Valpolicella hills, and in the afternoon free time to visit to the historic city
