Update – April 16, 2020
We would like to thank our Staff and Coaches for their creativity and dedication with continued engagement with
our players and families during these unprecedented times. The KCSG Homework, KCSG App, Training Sessions, &
Challenges have been overwhelming popular. A HUGE thanks to our players and families for their continued
support! We are seeing significantly more engagement with the players submitting videos through social media
plus many of our teams are using Zoom or other video conference platforms to connect as well as conduct virtual
training sessions.

At this time, we have no updates on timing of player refunds as we are still trying to determine what refunds we
will get from leagues, tournaments, and our practice facilities.

4/15: Missouri Youth Soccer State Cup Teams,
It is with deep regrets that the Missouri Youth Soccer Association state cup committee is announcing
the cancellation of State Cup 2020. The State Cup committee's highest concern is the safety of our
youth players along with their families, coaches, and referees. Your safety along with other mitigating
factors led us to this conclusion.
Our hope is that everyone stays healthy and we will see you on the pitch as soon as possible.
Full refunds will be processed within 15 days.
Thank you for understanding...

Latest updates from USYS, MYSA, KSYSA, US Club Soccer & Heartland:

USYS (3/31/2020) - https://www.usyouthsoccer.org/usys-programming-notice-33120/
Summary: USYS has decided to push back our return to activity date for our US Youth Soccer Conferences to May
1st, 2020. This will allow all 55 State Associations to review the impact of COVID-19 on their members and make
their own informed decisions on a return-to-play date. In addition, USYS is cancelling the 2020 Presidents Cup, our
2020 National Championships and all of the regional competitions leading up to those two events.

MYSA (3/31/2020) - https://www.missourisoccer.org/

Missouri Youth Soccer Members,
As noted in a separate announcement, US Youth Soccer has extended their suspension of play to at least May 1st
with further assessment being made moving forward. Additionally, US Youth announced that both the National
Championship Series and the Presidents Cup Series have both canceled in their entirety for this season. With this
new information we wanted to update you on the state of play in Missouri:

 • Missouri shall continue to observe the suspension of play by US Youth Soccer. This suspension shall
continue to be reviewed and may be extended/altered as needed to align with directives from state and
 local governments and health authorities.
 • Currently, the Missouri Governor’s Office and Missouri HHS have released guidance which prohibits
activities of this kind. This along with your local authorities should guide all member activities and all
 decision making during the pandemic.
 • The Missouri Presidents Cup is now officially canceled, full refunds shall be distributed over the next 15
business days. A separate e-mail to all coaches and managers will be sent with more information in the
 next few days.
 • At this time, the USYS Midwest Conference shall move forward once play can resume. Games scheduled
in St. Louis for May 1-3 are on hold due to the new RTP date of May 1. More information shall be
forthcoming directly from Midwest Conference on this shortly.
 • Although there is no Regional or National Championship, at this time we will continue with the Missouri
State Cup, although the format may differ from the traditional model. An email shall go out by this Friday
to coaches allowing all teams to withdraw for a full refund should they choose, or they can choose to
participate in a single weekend event over June 5-7th to name a State Cup Champion. This, of course, is
contingent on being able to resume play and the fees shall be reviewed once the format is determined
 and refunds distributed as appropriate.

We will continue to monitor the situation within Missouri and update you with the hopes that Missouri Clubs and
Leagues may be able to get a partial season or tournament played during the summer months in these
unprecedented times.
When we can resume play, we hope that all our members will pull together and support one another during this
time including selecting a Missouri based tournament to help the sport and your fellow members within the state.

Be safe, we are in this together…

Update – March 25, 2020
Refunds - We are aware that there are many questions right now about refunds. Unfortunately, we will
not be able to give people a firm answer on any kind of fee refunds until we know more about how long
this will last. Fees being returned to players are dependent on tournament, league, state association
and facility refunds that the club receives. These entities are also trying to determine whether to
provide refunds to us or give credits for future events. This will take some time as we are in a very fluid
and unprecedented situation and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we sort all of this out.

national government entities, and our soccer community partners related to the COVID-19 virus.
Accordingly, we are extending our current suspension of all Kansas City Scott Gallagher (KCSG) club

is prudent and safe to resume club activities.
