Volante Street Legal Aircraft, AirCAR, or Flying Car
Volante N-777VA, Experimental Aircraft, “Street Legal” airplane
Designed and Built by: K.P. Rice
The late retired Marine Colonel, Vietnam Fighter Pilot, Aeronautical Engineer MIT, Electrical
Engineer Cornel. 95 Years old.
The Volante has now been painted white as you see in pictures below. Some of the older pictures below were taken
prior to the Volante being painted white. It looks much better now in fresh white paint.
Park the Volante in your standard garage where it is protected from rain, snow, the sun’s UV rays, and other people.
Drive Volante to the airport using the Yamaha Raptor 660 cc engine, fold the wings out, lock pins in place. Start up the
Lycoming O-320 aircraft motor. Take off and fly at 120+ mph to your destination, land, unscrew wing pins, fold wings
over body and secure, drive to your hotel, beach, ski resort or wherever your destination is.
The new Volante v3 will have automatically deployable and retractable wings using an electric motor.

We made Utah history today!
Today, Monday May 17th, I presented to the Utah Division of Motor Vehicle (DMV) the court ruling from Utah State Tax
Commission’s Honorable Judge Clinton Jenson; that the Volante Aircraft also qualifies as a Street-Legal All-Terrain
Vehicle.
This ruling is the first of its kind in Utah, and one of only a few in the USA and entire world to ever receive this
distinction.
Volante CEO, Stephen Cook, said in a statement: “This is only the beginning. We are part of a movement creating high
speed transportation of the future, in Utah, that includes a combined ground and air vehicle called the Volante.”
Next up, a 5 seat, Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL) street-legal hybrid electric turbine Tesla like drone for human
use.
The future is now! Over the past hundreds and even thousands of years, people dreamed of owning their very own
driving and flying personal air and ground vehicle. Well, the future many of us have only dreamed of, just arrived in
Utah today. Built by Ret. Marine Colonel KP Rice.
Today will be the first day ever, that Stephen Cook, CEO, and 51% owner of Volante Aircraft LLC, can legally operate the
Volante on public roads, then take off and fly away from an airport.
Stephen Cook owns 51% of Volante Aircraft LLC, a Utah based company
The heirs of the late KP Rice are his wife (partner for 20 years), Rene Jones of Laguna Beach, CA; and Kristen Rice
Prinzing, who also resides in CA. Ms. Jones and Mrs. Prinzing own 49% of Volante Aircraft LLC.
We are still getting quotes for both road and air insurance and will install all new avionics before we fly it again in the
next 3-4 months.
The first test flight will be at Wendover, UT airport with a 10,000-foot runway. The Volante was built in Santa Anna,
California, in 1980 by the late Ret. Marine Colonel, Knowlton P Rice. It flew 40 hours in Mojave, CA by KP Rice, a MIT
Aeronautical Engineer, Fighter Pilot in Vietnam, designer of the OV-10 Bronco aircraft for the Marines, and he also
designed the nuclear bomber racks still used in aircraft today.
The Volante Aircraft LLC intends to build a large-scale factory in Utah and mass produce the Volante v3, a carbon fiber
composite, 5 seat, hybrid electric turbine powered Tesla like drone for human use.
We invite the news media to join us to celebrate this amazing accomplishment by the late Marine Colonel KP Rice. We
honor his great aircraft design and construction work and accomplishments this day.

Volante Wings
Wings are 8’ long each, Center Wing Section 8’ wide. 8’+ 8’+ 8’ = 24’ wingspan
Wings are being mounted to vehicle with aluminum hinges for road use. Thus, wings will travel with vehicle
folded over center wing section. Park Volante in garage, drive to airport, fold out wings, screw ½” steel pins
into steel hinges to lock wings in place, then fly away above traffic congestion at 120+ mph. New
production version of vehicle will have wings that automatically extend and retract.
