Welcome,
It is with renewed satisfaction that the fourth edition of Buy Wedding in Italy opens.
The project is dedicated to the Destination Wedding sector with many innovations and
increasing performances both from the point of view of international buyers and of the
Italian seller companies that will be attend Bologna on 13th and 14th November 2018.
Among the new features, the new charming Palazzo Isolani, in the heart of Bologna,
where an important conference program will take place, led by a competent and
professional Technical Committee able to meet the updating and training needs of the
Destination Wedding business community.
In addition, a new format of the workshop will be held inside the halls of Palazzo
Isolani on midweek dates and reserved to international buyers and Italian sellers, with
no exhibition stands but with one-to-one meeting tables scheduled through the agenda
on fair.
A rich program of side events, less formal but still very business oriented, completes
the picture of the two days in Bologna.
Last but not least, sharing the same goals of the project but available throughout the
year, the BMSonline Business Matching Service that connects in a logged-in area
buyers and sellers, with already over 130 registered wedding planners and foreign tour
operators in constant increase.
Hoping to meet you in Bologna and in the next meetings that Buy Wedding in Italy
will organise during the next year, I wish you all a successful working session.

Bianca Trusiani, President of Buy Wedding in Italy Technical Committee,
has devoted her life to tourism, which has always been her most important
passion.
Travel agent specialized in tailor-made, technical director of agency and
tour operator manager.
She organizes masters and she is consultant for many different public in-
stitutions, for the environment development and she also works in Euro
planning.
She has a three-year experience within the tourism industry at MAE (Ita-
lian Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
Holder of the trademarks Wedding and Travel® – Italy Destination Wed-
ding® – Wedding Made in Italy® she has been defined an expert in the De-
stination Wedding industry.
Creator of a new figure in the tourist reception field specifically dedicated
to incoming marriages: the Wedding Travel Coordinator (WTC®).
Speaker at ANUSCA(NationalAssociation of Municipal civil registrars)
and member of SKAL (International Association of Tourist Professionals).

Internationally recognized as the distinctive signature of luxury, sophisti-
cation, exclusivity and elegance, he is the point of reference for the most
exclusive events, both in Italy and Europe where he is spokesman of Italian
Style. Author of two books presenting the most scenographic projects in
his career: “Weddings in Italy” (“Il Matrimonio che vorrei”) available in
English and distributed in Italy, Europe and the US and “Il Matrimonio”.
Editor of the magazine “Imagine your house, party, life, wedding” where he
presents trends, ideas and news for the event planning world and all those
who enjoy living with style.
Television star of the wedding industry, he has been on air since 2005 with
the cult program “Wedding Planner” on Real Time. Since 2017 Angelo

Erika Gottardi – President Woman and Bride - Member
Of Austrian heritage but born and raised in Italy, Erika lived in Turin, Pe-
rugia and Milan before settling down in 1984 in Rome, where she currently
lives and work.
Graduated in Sociology, in 2010 she established with Massimiliano Piccin-
no the publishing company and communication agency Adv Press, debu-
ting in the publishing industry with the periodical Woman & Bride.
Today she is a anchorwoman, actress, fashion editor and expert in fashion
and wedding, as well as a smart and popular fashion blogger and brand
influencer.

Destination Marketing and Management professional, has been working

within the tourism industry since 1968.
He covered numerous executive roles, from Lauro Lines to CIT (Italian
Company of Tourism), from Ventana to Alpitour and carried out consul-
ting activities for FAI (Italian Fund for the Environment), Buy Lazio (a
venture by the Regional Union of Chambers of Commerce of Lazio) and
for Promove consortium (Venice in winter time).
He was an advisor for “Contur, Touristic Consultations”, the first enterpri-
se specialized in touristic consultancy, with a diversified portfolio ranging
from product planning, company marketing, education, to auditing and
information technology.
Professor of Economy of Tourism for 24 years at the University of Perugia,
he collaborated with the most important Business Schools for Masters in
Tourism, from Luissal CST of Assisi to Sole 24 ore and Trentino School of
Management.
Performs consultancy and educational activities in Italy and Europe within
the Travel, Hospitality and Destination Management areas.

PALAZZO BONCOMPAGNI
Now Palazzo Benelli, is in the heart of the historic centre, just a few hundred
metres from Piazza Maggiore and the two Towers. Pope Gregory XIII was born
here and lived in the family palace as Cardinal Ugo Boncompagni until his
ascent to the papal throne on May 13th, 1572.
Built in 1537, the palace stands out for its sober façade in typical Fifteenth-
century style and the large ornate gate. The papal emblem of Gregory XIII,
Ugo Boncompagni, adorns the 1545 gate.
THE POPE’S HALL
It is a large frescoed hall located inside Palazzo Boncompagni.
The extraordinary “Hall of the Pope” was used for papal auditions when the
Bolognese Pope returned to his hometown. The large representative hall on
the ground floor, with remarcable acoustics, is adorned by a beautiful and
rare fireplace in Pietra Serena, probably designed by Pellegrino Tibaldi, who
also painted the frescoes of the vault and above the fireplace with his pupils,
in the second half of 1500.

ACCADEMIA DEI NOTTURNI
A noble eighteenth-century dwelling, stemmed from the ancient Villa
Ranuzzi Cospi, center of the intellectual worldliness of the time, the
Accademia dei Notturni is located in the rural village of Bagnarola di Budrio
in the Bolognese countryside.
In the first decade of 1700 Count Vincenzo Ferdinando Ranuzzi Cospi
replaced the old house with the current Villa, by Sebastiano Bertelli. The end
of the construction, in August 1705, was celebrated with a theatre-themed
party in the villa, with a play that had as main subject Bacco and Arianna
with a “double lunch”. In the following years it became customary to organize
parties with allegorical floats depicting gods and deities parading in front of
the portico.
Today, its ancient cellars are home to the “Taverna Tamburini” which offers
its guests a traditional cuisine with ancient flavors, guaranteed by the high
quality and bolognese gastronomic history of the Tamburini family, owner
of the structure.
