The Gungahlin Eagles are an
inclusive semi-professional
rugby union club that
appreciates the importance of
maintaining strong corporate
and community relationships.
Who are we?
• Founded in 1967, as the Daramalan Rugby Club based in Dickson.
• Rebranded in 1998 to the Gungahlin Eagles Rugby Union Club, and
moved to Nicholls Enclosed Playing fields.
• We currently have 350 registered players between the junior and senior
rugby programs, both males and females, including people from all
backgrounds and walks of life.
• We are the only Canberra Rugby Club to have a team registered in every
senior rugby union competition, with a squad system to specifically suit
high-performance players, social players, rural players, and female players.
• We have won 21 premierships across multiple grades in our 51-year
history. Our most recent being the 1st-Division 1st-Grade premiership of
2017, the year of our 50th birthday.
• In 2019, we are looking to build on our 2018 finals campaign, which was
made possible by winning 5 from the final 6 matches of the season. LUKE DUFFEY

Our club and our brand
We celebrate our history and those who have contributed to our club, and we
pay tribute to the traditional owners of the land on which we play.
We welcome all walks of life regardless of nationality, religion, gender,
sexuality, or exceptionality.
We are built on four core values; Respect, Passion, Discipline, Loyalty.
Associating your business with the Gungahlin Eagles immediately makes you a part
of a large, recognised rugby family.
The Eagles are perceived as a great community contributor, due to our willingness
to use our resources for the better of others.
We hold an annual Charity event, that has seen $30,000 dollars raised for worthy
charities such as The Cancer Council and Menslink, these events present a great
opportunity to make a difference and boost the reputation of those who support it.
Our social media presence and game day experience are of a highly professional
standard, aiming to inform and inspire our players, volunteers, supporters, and
sponsors.
Our name and logo will be used to boost the profile of your company, in order to
publicise the great things you do for our 650+ immediate network, and all of the
people who benefit from our charity efforts.
Sponsorship Summary
For too long has community sponsorship been more of a generous donation than a beneficial partnership.
We plan on changing the game.
We are committed to making sure that you get your money’s worth.
