I believe the School Board has an important role in shaping the vision and culture
of the
school, influencing the wider school community and improving the wellbeing and
success of all students. As parents, we have a responsibility to support the school
and establish an environment where students feel safe, have the courage to
collaborate, be challenged and try new things in a safe and nurturing environment.
We want a community that supports the wellbeing of our children, embraces
diversity, promotes self-worth of students and develops resilient, independent
learners who strive for personal success. As a member of the school board, the
focus of decision making would be the foundation of the school: be responsible, be
caring, be respectful and be your best. The values espoused in these Bunbury
Primary School statements should form the foundation of any governance and
decision making.

I have enjoyed the support of the school in the social, emotional and academic
development of my two children at Bunbury Primary School and I look forward to
working closely with the school to continue to improve the outstanding reputation
and achievements of this great school of ours. As a parent of children in
kindergarten and Year 1, I am dedicated to the three year term, will commit to the
meeting arrangements and will provide additional support as required.

I have a degree in Health Sciences and have worked extensively for large
companies in employee relations, industrial relations and human resources. I have
a good understanding of legal requirements and am able to navigate legislation and
a diverse range of policies, procedures and guidelines. I am able to use a wide
range of technology and software, and I keep abreast of current events and read
widely.

As a school board member, I would actively support the effective and strategic use
of
resources, encourage shared leadership within the school community, assist in
developing positive relationships with school community, support the school vision
and positive behaviour support programme and ensure we remain the school of
choice in the region by focusing on our learning environment.

I have the expertise, passion and enthusiasm to be a valued and dedicated Board
member.

I believe we need to work together to enhance the potential of our children and our
community and I look forward to the opportunity to actively support the school in
achieving this as a Board member.

As a parent of two students at Bunbury Primary, one in year four and the other in
year one; I am familiar with the school and basic policies. I have the pleasure of
helping in both children’s classes over the years and have developed a rapport with
their teachers. As a board member I would use my life experiences, both personal
and work-related, to continue the process of making Bunbury Primary one of best
schools in the area. As a migrant to Australia, I feel I would bring a different
perspective to various topics, creating an open dialogue on best practices not only
for the school and facility, but the continued development of the student.

I have been a member of the school board at my daughters previous school. I enjoy
the challenges and interactions surrounding the governance and strategic direction
of the school. I am interested in learning more about the independent government
system, as previously I was involved in the catholic schooling system. I can offer 20
years of experience in Design and the Building Industry. My training with the Dale
Alcock Group has allowed me to have a very effective working relationship with my
previous principal as the board chair. I look forward to the opportunity to take on a
new challenge.

My family and I have already enjoyed 8 years as a part of the Bunbury Primary
School community and I would love the opportunity to assist the School Board in a
meaningful manner for the final 3 years. I am a strong supporter of the public
school system and the rights of all children to have access to a quality education.

I will use my extensive experience working with parents, children, colleagues and
teammates to develop and achieve positive outcomes on all levels to support the
leadership of Bunbury Primary School. I would ensure governance of the school
supports Bunbury Primary Schools ”Positive Behavior Programme”. I believe that
education is a collaboration and a partnership between all involved, and I value the
importance of communication and feedback.

I’m a vibrant energetic parent, who is hardworking and enthusiastic about building
positive, constructive and nurturing relationships between young people and the
wider school community. My love of all sport from youth has enabled me to develop
strong teamwork and leadership skills to achieve success through passion, fairness
and commitment. As a teacher, coach, player and mentor I have further developed
my communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on health and
wellbeing.

It is as a dedicated mother and wife as well as a career professional that I
understand the individual commitment required to balance and support family,
community and the importance of role modelling for our children.

I am a coastal ecology and biodiversity conservation researcher and lecturer at
Edith Cowan University SW campus. I participate actively in the ECU School of
Science outreach program, promoting STEM knowledge, careers and pathways
among high school students and the community in the SW region. I have an
extended network of contacts within environmental agencies and community
groups and my professional experience may be of use in developing novel
approaches to science and sustainability as well as attracting new opportunities in
these areas. As a family we are members of community clubs such as the Bunbury
Surf Club and the Bunbury Cross Country Club. I have two kids at the school and I
would like to actively participate in shaping the direction and objectives of the
school, always having as a final aim the wellbeing of the children.

I believe the school board has an important role in facilitating the engagement of
children and the wider community in education. With the emphasis on Science,
Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and the schools focus on STEM and the
development of new science facilities, I believe I can assist the school in shaping

the direction and vision of the school and support the new business plan. I have the
passion and expertise to support and enhance students engagement in science
and believe learning can occur outside the classroom with limited resources. I
believe environmental sciences has significant importance in our community and
links Indigenous education with science whilst getting students outside and actively
engaged in the curriculum.

I have significant experience in research projects and have a sound understanding
of government polices, procedures and legislation and feel I can actively support
the board in navigating their legal requirements. I have managed human and
financial resources, demonstrated leadership through leading complex research
projects and am able to navigate today’s technological world.

As a parent I am advocate for the well-being and engagement of our children. I
believe our schools vision of caring, responsibility, respect and being your best are
the foundation of our great school and the responsibility of the school board to
maintain.
