2nd Annual American Legion Post 116
                      Golf Tournament
T    he American Legion Post 116 hosted its 2nd annual golf tournament this past Memorial Day weekend at
     Eagles Ridge Golf course. The event was a huge success with over 110 golfers participating. In addition to
all the golfers we had over 50 sponsors that donated money and prizes to the event, many that were post mem-
bers. With perfect weather and after a good day of golf, everybody returned to the post for a great meal and the
awards ceremonies. This year’s funds were split up between the Fuquay Varina High School Band and the Post
116 Memorial Monument. Over $10,000 was raised to help these two great programs. As with any event, it
could not have happened without all the efforts and assistance from our Golf Committee and the numerous vol-

             Veterans are strongly encouraged to establish or upgrade to a premium My HealtheVet ac-
         count. Veterans need to upgrade to the premium My HealtheVet account to ensure there are no
         delays to prescription refills or tracking of medications.

         Veterans can upgrade their account multiple ways:
         - In-Person: If you have an appointment in the main facility, go to Patient Experience (former-
         ly Patient Advocate) office or Library to show a current picture government ID. If you have an
         appointment at one of our CBOCs, Veterans can go to the check-in window to complete.

         - Online: If you have an eBenefits account, Veterans can log in with their Level 2 DS Logon
         credentials at www.myhealth.va.gov

          -Online: Veterans can create an ID.me account and log in with those credentials (attached
         instructions) www.myhealth.va.gov

         -Video conferencing: Veterans can show their VA ID to the Durham VA Health Care System
         My HealtheVet Coordinator or other health care team members, who will notify the MHV Co-
         ordinator. Veterans must have a valid email address, Internet, and video camera

      Youth Fishing Derby is back!
Youths in grades K-7 can come out to Johnson Pond on Saturday, August 7
and compete in 1 of 4 different heats. Bring your own water, sunscreen, rod,
and tackle. Worms provided. Each heat lasts one hour. Fishing license not
required. Longest fish wins!
