Upcoming Ordinations The Diaconate Ordination of Seth Hostetler will be held Friday, May 16 at 6:30 pm at Holy
Name Church in Sheridan. This ordination will be live-streamed and attendance is by invitation only. The Priestly
Ordinations of Deacons Dan Kostelc and Linh Vu will be on Thursday, June 24 at 6:00 pm at the Cathedral of St. Mary.

Parish Modifications To provide for the pastoral needs in the northeastern corner of the Diocese of Cheyenne, St.
Anthony’s Parish of Upton was merged into Corpus Christi Parish in Newcastle. The mission of St. Matthew’s in
Hulett, part of the Corpus Christi Parish, was merged into St. Matthew’s Parish in Gillette. St. Matthew’s Parish in
Gillette now incorporates all of Weston County and the eastern part of Crook County.
Effective April 7 Fr. Hiep Nguyen will be assigned as Parochial Vicar of St. Patrick’s in Wheatland and the mission of
Mary Queen of Heaven in Chugwater. On July 1, he will be appointed Parochial Administrator of that parish and its
mission. Fr. Tom Kadera will retire at that time. Fr. Kadera was ordained in 1987 and has served the Diocese faithfully
since then. Fr. Kadera also served in the United States Air Force for 36 years. He will be greatly missed.
The Diocese of Cheyenne would also like to welcome Reverend Brandon Oman, who is the new chaplain at F.E. Warren
Air Force Base.

Our Lenten Paper Product Drive is underway! Donations of Kleenex, paper towels and napkins can be
placed in the marked bins in the Music Room or dropped by the parish office. PLEASE DO NOT DONATE
TOILET PAPER! Our paper products drive will benefit the Unaccompanied Students Initiative and
SafeHouse.
Sack Lunch Support—bottled water, creamy peanut butter, jam/jelly, fruit cups, individually packaged
desserts such as cookies or granola bars for the sack lunch program we support at Cheyenne Discipleship
Center can be brought to the parish office during regular business hours.
The Mall of St. Vincent DePaul is having a Crazy Daze Sale Friday, March 19 & Saturday, March 20.
Men’s, women’s and children’s clothing $1, 25-50% off housewares and much more! Store hours are Monday-
Saturday 10am-5pm. Donations are gladly accepted Wednesday-Saturday 11am-4pm. Thank you!
Life Choice Pregnancy Care Center recently indicated the greatest need for their boutique was
car seat stroller combos. Through the generosity of our Cathedral parishioners, the Social
Concerns Committee was able to provide four combos in support of the greater Cheyenne
community!

The City of Cheyenne Cemetery Division Spring Clean-Up at Olivet Cemetery starts TOMORROW, March 15.
Remember that all items that interfere with grounds maintenance will be removed and discarded.
St. Patrick’s Day Dinner will be served on Wednesday, March 17 beginning at 5:30 pm at the
Knights of Columbus. A limited seating dine-in or drive-thru pick up option is available by
RESERVATION ONLY. Please text 425-351-7319 or email rfhouser@gmail.com. The cost is
$15 per person which includes corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, corn cobettes, dinner roll,
cookie and condiments. Pre-pay option (checks or cash only) can be mailed or dropped off at Casey’s Club, 507 W.

The Knights of Columbus hosts a Take-Out Fish Dinner on March 19 at 5:30 pm-6:30 pm at Casey’s
Club, 507 W. 28th St. Take out orders can be placed in the parking lot. Limited indoor seating is available.
The menu includes fried fish, salmon patty, baked potato, coleslaw and clam chowder. The cost is $12 and
$6 for children or 1/2 order. Proceeds this week benefit St. Joseph’s Food Pantry. For more information

The Chrism Mass will be Thursday, March 25 at 5:30 pm at the Cathedral of St. Mary.
The Cathedral will be closed for private prayer following the 6:45 am Mass. The Chrism

The Knights of Columbus is holding their annual 40 Cans for Lent food drive through March 28. The food drive
will benefit St. Joseph’s Food Pantry. You are encouraged to bring 40 cans (or other non-perishable food items) to
Casey’s Club, 507 W. 28th St. Bingo players who donate 3 or more cans on Sundays will receive a free 3-on door book!
Adult Confirmation Preparation Are you a non-Confirmed adult in the Catholic Church?
Now is the time to complete your Sacraments of Initiation. Four preparation sessions will
begin Thursday, April 29 in Hartmann Hall at the Cathedral of St. Mary. Confirmation
will be celebrated Sunday, May 30 at 12:00 noon with Bishop Steven R. Biegler presiding.
