Sep. 1, 2020 - April 7, 2021Connect 4 DID YOU KNOW? Please pray one for another. Our pastors especially have been under an extra heavy load during the COVID Crisis. If you would like to participate in our weekly prayer call at 6:30 AM on Thursdays, contact David Douglas 859-771-8602 to receive weekly connection notices. Please join with me and Alice praying for our Refreshing Campmeeting, June 7-11, 2021. This will be our first state wide gathering in 16 months. It will be more special than ever! Alice and I have visited/ministered in 138 of our local churches so far. 465 pastors and ministers have connected on our Kentucky Church of God Pastors and Ministers FaceBook page. If you haven’t, you should. The Paintsville, Calvary Church of God has experienced a 10-20% increase in attendance during the COVID Crisis. There are currently 13 people finishing up MIP and 18 moving toward completing CAMS. Paul Woosley and his family launched The Well Church of God plant in Alexandria in October 2020. COVID has made this a challenge. They have a core group attendance of 35-40. They had a good Easter service and have established a good online presence. September, 2020 - February, 2021 saw 924 people saved, 538 restored, 155 sanctified, 105 filled with The Holy Spirit and 424 water baptisms through our local churches.

Help Wanted!
State Campground Projects
Any days between now and Refreshing Campmeeting, we could use some help getting our buildings and grounds
ready. Please contact Steve Jordan @ 859-533-7300 to let him know if you, or folks from your church can help.
Room is available to stay on the grounds and lunch will be provided. Flower beds need to be planted and mulched as
well as limb and tree clean up. Inside there is a need for cleaning and set-up for the Refreshing services.
May 13-15, 2021 has been designated as Campground Work Days, however any help between now and camp
meeting will be much appreciated!
Cave City MWOA Project
Our local church at Cave City is in desperate need of significant repairs. Our Men and Women of Action Team will
be working there April 27-May1, 2021. We could especially use two electricians, two skilled carpenters and an
experienced siding person. General laborers are also needed. Please contact KYMWOA Coordinator, Bill Harrison
@ 859-248-5529.

Women’s Ministries Awards
Thank you so much for supporting Women With A Mission, Covenant Sisters and The Home for Children
with your generous gifts and offerings! You truly have generous hearts and are such a blessing to these worthy
ministries! In the past we have given a plaque to each church who raised the most money for each of these
ministries. To better honor our churches for their giving and to recognize the pastor’s wives at these churches,
we have made some changes to our awards. First of all, we have dedicated a wall in the foyer of the
tabernacle to Kentucky Women’s Ministries and have mounted 3 perpetual plaques that will honor the winners
and runners-up in each category for these ministries. Secondly, each church winner and runner-up will receive
a beautiful certificate commemorating their receipt of this award. Finally, the pastor’s wife from each of these
churches will receive a monetary gift to thank her for her leadership in giving to these worthy ministries.
Only monies received in the State Office by May 19, 2021 will count toward this year’s awards.
Refreshing 2021 Women’s Service
Friday, June 11, 2021 at 10:30 AM will be our Women’s Ministries Service during our Refreshing 2021
Campmeeting. We will be honoring the award winners from 2020 and 2021 at the beginning of the service.
This year I have invited Deena Querry, Co-Lead Pastor at the Living Waters Church of God in Fountain Valley,
CA, to be our speaker. Deena will be sharing her testimony of God’s grace and healing after being diagnosed
with a brain tumor.
Reporting
As we are beginning a new reporting year for Women’s Ministries, I wanted to encourage all of our churches to
make a fresh effort to send in your Women’s Ministries Quarterly Reports. This past year has been rough on all
our churches. Our meetings and services have undergone major changes. Now that we are headed closer to
normal, it’s time to renew our efforts for Women’s Ministries in our local churches.
Empowered Women’s Conference 2022
Mark your calendars for March 25-26, 2022!! Empowered by Grace is the theme for next year’s conference
and it will be held here at our Kentucky Church of God Campground and Conference Center. We have lined up
special guests and activities and plan to make this a huge celebration of God’s grace in our lives and of the
women of Kentucky coming together again! You won’t want to miss this, so start planning now!
Thank you for all you do for Women’s Ministries in your local church and for your support for Women’s
Ministries in Kentucky. God is doing some great things in us and through us! I look forward to what God has
in store for the future!
-Alice FischerStory of Hope
Below is a letter written by a survivor to House of Cherith.
“My life before House of Cherith was dark and hopeless. I had got to a
point where I literally could not see a future. I had completely given
up on myself mentally, physically, and spiritually. I was completely
broken. I had lost my faith and hope. I battled with an addiction to
meth for eight years where during that time I lost everything that was
important to me and worth living for. I was a mom with two beautiful
daughters, I was a nurse with the best bedside manner and I had a
family that was proud of me. Then one by one and little by little I lost
all of that to where eventually I became homeless and somehow ended
up being prostituted out to at multiple locations. I would meet
someone thinking I was going to do legal work. I ended up getting
prostituted out for drugs, alcohol and money that they kept so I would
try somewhere else and it would happen again. Eventually, after being
homeless for some time, it was cold outside and I broke into a
building. I got arrested for burglary. I told my lawyer about being
prostituted and the judge ordered me to complete the terms of Out of
Darkness. Out of Darkness chose House a Cherith for me. House of
Cherith has changed many things for me. The biggest change is that it
has given me back my faith and hope to where I can actually see a
future. I have grown spiritually from the way the program is set up.
We are allowed and blessed with space, food, clothes, and the time to
heal. And the time that is given to us we are staying focused on God
which is our foundation and around that is classes where we can
learn, process and are given versatile tools to enable us to heal from
our trauma. I have also learned how to simply socialize again through
team building.”

MIP is gearing up for its last seminar and graduation in May. The class is excited
about our trip to Cleveland, Barney Creek, Field of the Woods and other Church of
God historical sites. We will also have a cookout at Bishop Fischer's house in
Cleveland, TN. We want to thank Bishop Charles and First Lady Alice Fischer for
providing this amazing time for us.
If you have not applied for MIP’s fall class you need to do so now. It will begin in
September.
If you are interested in being a part of the CAMS and MIP 2021 Fall sessions, please call Kim Arnold at the State
