EVERYTHING
Until now the most common way to communicate with
your sign and update messages has been to connect
with your network or have a dedicated standalone
PC that connects wirelessly with your sign. However,
Government departments and many businesses have
raised security concerns about having signs connected
to their network.
The other alternative has been to have a dedicated
PC that doesn’t connect to the network, but connects
with the Electra sign wirelessly. But that means you
need to configure and maintain the PC. Plus, there are
sometimes connection issues.
Our new secure Eltrac Cloud-based web portal
eliminates the problems with both these options. All you
need is internet access and there is no set-up required
by your IT department because Eltrac is a cloud-based
web portal.
Authorised users get a dedicated login and they can
securely access the Eltrac portal to set and change text
and pictures from any PC, Mac, tablet or Smart phone
with internet access.

For those who don’t want to take advantage of the new
Eltrac Cloud-based web portal we have wired communication
options available:
LAN (Local Area Network)
This form of communication requires a wired connection to
existing computer network. Depending on your computer
network structure, this should allow the creation and editing
of messages from anywhere on your network.
Fibre Optic
This form of communication requires a wired fibre optic cable
connection. It is relatively cheap, very common and the install
cost is insignificant when you install it at the same time as the
power.
