Spring 2021High Performance Programs Program Overview ► Phase 1: 3/29-4/10 - Players will participate in tryouts within their Minnesota Hockey Districts. In 2021, players must have a 2006 birth date to participate. ($100) ► Phase 2: 4/11-4/18 - The top 30 players from each District will participate in a Development phase, with 20 from each District advancing to Phase 3. ($150) ► Phase 3: 4/23-4/25 - The District teams compete in five games, which will include three games at the 15 Spring Festival at Plymouth Ice Center in Plymouth. ($200) ► Phase 4: 6/19-6/24 - The top 102 players from the Spring Festival will be selected to compete at the CCM High Performance Summer Camp in St. Cloud. ($650) ► Phase 5: 7/2021 – Selected players will attend the USA Hockey Boys 15 Player Development Camps in Amherst, NY. Note: each phase will require registration on the MNH website
Spring 2021High Performance Program Tryout Dates Tryouts Goalie Only Tryout, Tuesday, March 30 7:30-9:00pm Players and Goalies, Thursday, April 1 6:00-7:15pm/7:30-8:45pm Players and Goalies, Saturday, April 3 1:45-3:00pm/3:15-4:30pm Players and Goalies, Wednesday, April 7 6:15-7:30pm/7:45-9:00pm Players and Goalies will be assigned to a session and emailed the week prior to tryouts. No spectators will be allowed at the tryout sessions All information posted on the D3 website: D3hockey.org/hp
Spring 2021High Performance Programs Tryout Process and Notification Head Coaches from all D3 bantam and peewee teams meet on Zoom on March 1 for the nomination meeting. Nomination invitations are emailed to players. (email you used in fall) All Bantam and PeeWee teams are asked to provide representation at the tryouts for evaluating players. Additional outside evaluators are used. Nominated players register on MNH website and pay $100 fee. Goalies attend a specific goalie only tryout. Numbers will dictate an early cut or not. Must register on MNH website as well. Goalies and players are assigned to a time session for each tryout date. Results of the tryout will be posted on the D3 website that night.
Spring 2021High Performance Programs Development Sessions Once the group of 30 is selected they will participate in 10 hours of development. From the group of 30 a final team of 20 will be selected. (2 Goalies, 12 Forwards and 6 Defense) Selected players will be posted on the D3 website and receive an email with a registration link. Players will need to register for the Festival on the MNH website ($200). The final 20 will have one practice prior to the Festival Weekend
Spring 2021High Performance Programs Festival and beyond Festival Weekend is April 23, 24 and 25, 2021 at Plymouth Ice Center No seeding games will be played in 2021. Details about spectators, COVID rules and guidelines will be provided as soon as it becomes available. After the Festival, the top 102 selected players will be posted on the MNH website. Selected players will be required to register and watch a video about summer camp. ($650) Summer camp will take place at the CCM High Performance Summer Camp in St. Cloud.

Fall 2021 Tier One Program Overview Fall tier one has a different focus and approach than spring HP. Fall tier one is about creating the best team representing D3 and competing against the other Districts in the state to earn a slot in the USA Hockey National Tournament. Fall tier one is not a nomination process and tryouts are open to all players; however, talent guidelines are provided. Tryouts will take place in June. Off-ice training will start in July and on-ice training will begin August 1. Competition weekends are set up the end of August thru September with league and district playoffs in the beginning of October.
