The major concern, of course, is keeping people out of
harm’s way. And that includes both operators and others
living, working or walking in the vicinity of the truck.
But operator assurance also encompasses other features of
McNeilus products that allow operators to use our equipment

Winter Maintenance 101
In cold climates, fleets often add products or chemicals to their
chassis air system to prevent air compressor condensation
from freezing. These products and chemicals can damage air
valve seals, leading to pneumatic issues. To help keep mixer
body pneumatic valves in peak condition:
1. Ensure your air supply to the mixer body valves runs
through a coalescing filter and check, clean and/or change
the filter element and bowl at appropriate intervals.
2. At least twice a year, disconnect the supply air line
from the air valves and add 2 teaspoons of automatic
transmission fluid back into the supply line and reconnect.
Cycle all air valves to work the fluid into the valve.
Use this tip for year-round air valve maintenance too!
