We are currently offering virtual & remote programs and services as follows:
Zoom Programs: We’re using Zoom, a web-based video-conferencing tool, to offer virtual programs for families. Participants
can join these programs through the internet or by phone. See the following pages for program descriptions, dates/times, and
registration links.
Note: Pre-registration is required. SPACES ARE LIMITED. To register for a Zoom program, click on the link provided to register
on Eventbrite. If you need help with registration, please email EarlyONMarkham@familydaycare.com or phone 437-855-3651.
Facebook: Join our EarlyON Educators in our private Facebook group, EarlyON @ Family Day, for live programming Monday
to Friday (except holidays) at 9am and 1pm. Each video will be available for 3 hours. To join our Facebook group, please visit

Storypark: Storypark is a secure, private online community space for our EarlyON families. For more information on Storypark
please go to www.storypark.com. EarlyON Educators post announcements, videos and resources every week including songs,
stories, home-based learning activities and parenting resources. Families have access to these resources anytime of the day.
Families also have an opportunity to share their own ideas and comment. If you are interested in joining in with other families
on this community platform, please send an email to EarlyONMarkham@familydaycare.com
One-on-One Parent/Caregiver Support Sessions: Our Family Support Worker can assist you with any questions or
concerns regarding your child's development or parenting/family challenges, and can provide you with information and
referrals to local programs/services. To speak with our Family Support Worker, please contact Valentina at (416)-315-5209 or
vmalgeri@familydaycare.com.
Phone Support Services: EarlyON Educators are available to answer your questions about how to access our programs and
services, parenting and child development, and other local services from Monday to Friday at 905-479-0002. Please leave a
message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

Parenting Programs
*Triple P - Primary Care* (for parents/caregivers of children from 1 to 6 years) – One-on-one Phone Consultation
Our Family Support Worker and staff will be available to provide some practical strategies for managing children’s behaviour of the listed topic. The
consultation would involve a half an hour scheduled phone contact from 2 to 4 times and working on a parenting plan to help manage your children’s
challenging behaviour.

*Fearless Triple P - Seminar *(for parents/caregivers of children from 2 to 6 years) - 2 session program via ZOOM
This seminar introduces parents to a wide range of strategies for managing children’s anxiety, along with other parents you will understand how
anxiety works and how to become an effective emotional coach for your children when they are experiencing situations that are anxiety provoking or
fearful.

*Fearless Triple P - Group *(for parents/caregivers of children from 2 to 6 years) - 6 workshop program via ZOOM
Fear-less Triple P supports parents and helps them to learn strategies for anxiety management, encouraging them to apply these themselves for their
children. EarlyON Markham will be offering a Fear-Less group workshop for parents with children from 2 to 6 years, who are experiencing significant
anxiety.

A group experience for parents/caregivers and their infants, focusing on the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs, and stories together.

This program focuses on toddler development through play. Parents/caregivers engage in activities with their children through art, movement, songs
and rhymes and will introduce a developmentally appropriate activity for you and your child.

Zumbini program combines music, dance and educational tools of can’t-stop, won’t-stop bonding, learning, and fun! Through the sessions, your
children will not only nurture their love of movement but will give you the chance to nurture your inner child as well.

Welcome to My Art Station! This program encourages children and parent/caregivers to play together with some explorative art activities. Visual art
activities enhance children’s imagination, creativity, eye-hand coordination, and decision-making skills. Remember, “Art is a Process Not a Product”.

*Story Stretchers* (for parents/caregivers with children from 18 months to 6 years) 2 week program
Story Stretchers are play-based story extensions to reinforce a story that has been read. A Story Stretcher may be in a form of a song, dance, art or
sensory experience and helps foster language, early literacy development, social skills, creativity and imagination.

Participants in the program will be able to prepare healthy snacks together. An information list will be sent out the week before to gather any
ingredients needed to prepare. There will be songs and rhymes with a food focus and a story related to the topic.

This program engages adults and children to learn and explore literacy, mathematics, science and motor skills together. This program allows for
prediction, experimentation and hands on exploration through a variety of learning experiences.

This program invites parents/caregivers, and children to explore S.T.E.A.M. sills and concepts in a group setting. S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology,
Engineering and Mathematics) learning happens everyday as children investigate, play, communicate, and try new things.

Preschool Yoga* (for parents/caregivers with children from 2 to 6 years) 4 week program
This program will introduce fun and interactive yoga movement, breathing exercises that can promote children’s body coordination and focus. Join us
for a fun yoga adventure as we explore different yoga poses.

*Journey to Kindergarten - Extension* (for parents/caregivers with children at 4 years attending Kindergarten in September, 2021) 5 session
program
This program is designed to support children to successfully transition to Kindergarten through various songs, stories and activities related to the
different domains of learning. Parents get ideas and information on how to set a solid foundation in all domains of learning that will contribute to
positive experiences and outcomes for children. Parents/caregivers and children will participate in five interactive sessions together.
There is no parent only portion in this program.

This program promotes physical literacy, movement, and activity, as well as the four foundations needed for children to grow and flourish: belonging,
well-being, expression, and engagement. We will also tell stories, sing some favourite songs, play musical instruments, and practice mindfulness.

Join us for some interactive songs and stories in different languages. This program builds confidence in the mother tongue and builds a strong
foundation for learning new languages. This is a great opportunity to introduce a new language to your child and increase your child’s interest with
different languages!

This program enhances the development of auditory skills, fine motor skills, sense of rhythm, body awareness and coordination of mind and body.

*Explore, Play and Learn* (for parents/caregivers with children from birth to 6 years) 2 week program
Explore, Play and Learn is for parents/caregivers and their children to play interactively in an early learning environment. The program includes; arts
and crafts, music, pre-reading, and math concepts.
