event venue with award-wining restaurant, located in Caernarfon, North Wales.
Our beautiful country home is approached down a sweeping driveway and surrounded by
15 acres of landscaped gardens.

styled bedrooms and an award-winning wedding planning service.

Being a Grade II listed building with an abundance of Royal history, it offers a perfect backdrop to

Margaret and Lord Snowdon?
Offering sumptuous menus and the opportunity to work with Head Chef and TV personality Daniel
Ap Geraint to create your very own wedding breakfast.
You will have access to our 15 acres of land which offers, incredible views over the Menai Strait,
views of the Welsh Highland Railway which goes through the grounds and hidden areas offering
peace and quiet for you both to saver 5 minutes of your day together.
The History of Plas Dinas Country House
Plas Dinas is Grade II listed dating back to the mid-seventeenth century but with extensive
Victorian additions. The original house was built around the substantial
stone arched fireplace which can still be seen in the Gunroom Restaurant today.
The house, surrounded by farmland, came into the possession of the Armstrong-Jones family
in the nineteenth century through marriage. In 1899 Sir Robert Jones, who
subsequently altered his name to Armstrong-Jones, had a son named Ronald.
The family was, at that time, living in the London area and retained Plas Dinas
as their country home.
Ronald Jones married Anne, and the marriage produced a son, Antony, who in 1961 married HRH
Princess Margaret, the Queen's sister. Lord Snowdon, who suffered a major
attack of polio in his youth built a reputation for photography and has
portrayed many famous people in his career, including members of the current
House of Windsor. Many of which can be seen around our beautiful Country House
today.
In 1963, he was appointed to the post of Constable of Caernarfon Castle and when the young
Prince Charles became Prince of Wales, he was largely responsible for
organising the investiture ceremony in the castle. Princess Margaret
regularly spent weekends at Plas Dinas during this period in their marriage.
Plas Dinas still retains many family portraits, memorabilia and original furniture. It presents
the opportunity to enjoy the ambience of a genuine Welsh gentleman's country
residence, largely unspoilt by its conversion to luxury accommodation with
award-winning restaurant.

the rest of your lives.
For those of you looking to get married at Plas
Dinas we can accommodate wedding
ceremonies for up to 50 guests in our exquisite
Drawing Room.
For larger ceremonies you have the option of a
celebrant lead wedding within the grounds or if
you have a marquee, then why not use this for
your ceremony. We will then transform the
space to a beautiful wedding reception during
your drinks reception and photographs.

Your Drinks Reception
Following on from your ceremony you and your guests may enjoy a drinks reception with a selection
of canapes served on the lawns or by the roaring fire on a cold winter’s day.
It is at this stage that we encourage live musical entertainment such as a
saxophonist, a harpist or string quartet. We work with several experienced
artists who work in many genres of music. One even toured with Sir Elton John.!
DRINKS PACKAGES
Our wedding drinks packages have been designed
to make choosing your arrival drink and reception wines as simple as possible.
However, like with all the elements to ‘your’ package here at Plas Dinas you
can create a bespoke drinks package to suit you and your guests.
Whether you are looking for a Perfect Your Prosecco station or
the finest of left bank Bordeaux dinner wines. maybe you have a favourite cocktail that you would
like to be available during your special day then you can speak with your wedding planner to
arrange.
If arriving from church, your drinks reception is the first opportunity to set the scene for your
wedding day. What drinks you serve, the accompanying music and whether you serve canapes
are all important choices

Award-winning Catering
Head Chef and TV personality Daniel Ap Geraint and his team of chefs are
on hand to create the most wonderful of wedding breakfast and evening catering
options for your wedding day.
With a selection of creative, mouth-watering menus available offering traditional roasts,
using only the best local produce to foodie 8-course taster menus accompanied by hand picked
wines that are paired with your dishes..
We also offer all our couples the chance to meet with our Head Chef to discuss
your chosen menu and even offer the opportunity to create your very own, that is unique to you.
It is important to us that every wedding that takes place at Plas Dinas
is about you, about the couple that we celebrate and that you are both identified
within the designs and the menus.
With our experienced team you will create your very own bespoke wedding
package.
From smaller intimate dinners for 4 people to larger celebrations for up to 120 daytime guests,
Daniel Ap Geraint will provide exquisite dining with his own unique culinary flare.
A selection of evening options are available from Hog Roasts and BBQ’s to
woodfired pizza or a Hot and Cold Buffet. We also recommmend the
Belgium Hot Chocolate Station
Intimate and Twilight Weddings
Are you looking to celebrate with a much smaller wedding party? You will have the option of
hiring Plas Dinas Country House with full exclusivity of the whole Estate during your celebrations.
Set in 15 acres of exquisite gardens, Plas Dinas Country House is a truly magical wedding venue
boasting, smaller, intimate spaces within the house which can be personalised for your wedding
day. Our wedding planner will walk you through the various options around our historic home
that is just oozing with romance from room to room.
Smaller, intimate weddings of between 2 - 50 guests are available throughout the year on an
exclusive and non-exclusive use basis. We specialise in a variety of Intimate and Twilight wedding
styles.
From relaxed Afternoon Tea weddings in the Dining Room to a fine dining 'foodie' experience in
one of our many spaces such as the Gunroom or Drawing room..
Choose from our Intimate Wedding Package for 24 guests or speak with our Wedding Planner to
create your very own celebration.
WHY WE OFFER BESPOKE
Bespoke is often a word that is over used or misunderstood. Throughout the years of planning
you find that wedding packages are often the only option at venues. Elements included that you
simply do not want. Bespoke doesn't always mean bespoke, it is simply putting the 'you' into
'your' wedding day.
INTIMATE WEDDING PACKAGE
We are delighted to offer you an Intimate wedding package which provides you with your very own
private Country House in which to celebrate with close family and friends.
This package offers you:
Luxury accommodation for up to 24 guests.
Exclusive Hire of Plas Dinas Country House from 11am on the day of arrival until
11am the following day.
5-Course Deluxe Menu (24 guests)
A selection of 3 canapes per person (24 guests)
A glass of Prosecco or Kir Royal during your drinks reception 24 guests)
Half a bottle of house wine per person served during your wedding breakfast (24 guests)
A glass of Prosecco to toast (24 guests)
10 luxury bedrooms for the night of your wedding (sleeps up to 20 guests)
Bridal Cottage for Bridal preparation available the night before and the night of your wedding
(sleeps up to 4 guests)
A full Welsh breakfast served the morning after your wedding (up to 24 guests)

PACKAGE PRICE
£5000 Sunday - Thursday between June 2021 and December 2022.
£6000 for a Friday or Saturday.
An additional night can be added for just £3500. This includes all 10 bedrooms, an additional night in
the Gatekeepers Cottage, full Welsh breakfast for 24 guests and a pre or post wedding 3-course
celebration meal.
To secure the above package on your special date, we require a small deposit of just £500 which will
accompany your contract. All final payments are then due 28 days prior.
Additonal guests may be added to a total of 50 guests (subject to additional fees)
Marquee Weddings
During the summer months, make the most of the 15 acres of exquisite grounds, with an outdoor
drinks’ reception served on the terrace or Mount, boasting views of the Menai and Llanddwyn
Island (Lovers Island). Marquee weddings can take place within our grounds between May -
September each year.
Plas Dinas Country House work exclusively with Peak Marquees who also offer a bespoke style and
service, with contemporary design tools available to plan your perfect marquee. You are advised to
contact them to discuss prices for your personal marquee.
Available for numbers between 40 - 120 day guests and up to 150 evening guests. We are here to
create your very own wedding day, using our many years of experience in wedding planning. Our
wedding planner is full to the brim with ideas and after a short coffee and a walk around the
grounds will be able to create your very own celebration. With personal touches. Each wedding day
and personalised proposal is therefore very different.
Whether you are planning a traditional white wedding with one of our venue designers or a relaxed
festival style with street food or Afternoon Tea. Due to the level of service we provide we only work
with a small number of bespoke marquee celebrations each year these do get booked up very
quickly.
The exclusive use marquee weddings include the use of our exquisite venue for two whole days,
experienced planner that you have access to throughout the planning and on the day, tv
personality chef, experienced team and a venue oozing with style and romance with incredible
British royal history.
We have also created a set marquee wedding package for those of you that do not have the time to
have an initial planning meeting with our wedding specialist.

The cost of the accommodation included can be
passed on to your guests. This can be managed
through our experienced reception team with use of
a personalised rooming list that your Wedding
Planner will provide.
*Excludes Marquee Hire*. We work exclusively with
Peak Marquee Hire and recommend that you contact
them to check prices and availability. Like us, Peak
Marquees offer a very bespoke service and will
provide you with everything you need and more for a
beautiful, fabulous wedding day.

a £1000 depositEvening Reception Etertainment
Your Evening Reception is one of the last memories from your wedding day. We do not specify
many suppliers that we require our couples to use, however if you are wishing to book a DJ
then we do kindly ask that you use Event Lounge.
Why you may say? Simply because once you leave our care we want you to have the same
great customer service, a professional delivery and a memorable evening for the right reasons.

There are a few exceptions. The first is the fabulous, absolutely incredible Six 15. If you are
having a marquee wedding and want to finish on a bang, with full DJ and Saxophone set then
you really do need to get in touch with this very famous team. Think Ibiza meets Brazil.
Incredible party atmosphere. They do book up very quickly, so as soon as you have your dates
then check with them before you commit if you do have your heart set on them.
If you are looking for a band then we recommend contacting Warble Entertainment as they
have an array of artists available. We do of course have a selection of alternatives that we work
with directly but Warble are great if you want the extra support. If you do book a band, do
check that they come with lighting and that they will play inbetween sets until the evening
finishes. If not then you really do need a DJ. An IPod or similar device makes for a very stacato
