RATIONALE
Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA’s) are those that are complementary to the school program and
scheduled outside the regular school timetable. At EFIB we intend to offer a full range of aca-
demic, arts, sports, cultural activities and homework support. Our goal is to provide enjoyment,
promote accomplishment, encourage participation and develop social and leadership skills.
REGISTRATION DATES
Parents are invited to register their child for semester 02 ECA’s before Friday, February 15, via
our online survey. Please note that once a registration form is submitted, no changes may be
made to the ECA selection, with the exception of canceled ECA’s due to low enrolment which will
allow for a second registration.SEMESTER 02 ECA START & END DATE
The semester 02 extracurricular activities will begin on Wednesday March 6. The last day of se-
mester 02 ECA’s is Tuesday June 25th.
REGISTRATION LIMIT PER STUDENT
In this year of operation, each student can choose up to a maximum of 5 activities per week.
ACTIVITY PROVIDERS
External professionals from the school will conduct the activities. All teachers and providers have
a keen personal interest in the activity and background knowledge. Experienced EFIB staff will
supervise all students before and after the activity and will assist with exiting the school prem-
ises.
PAYMENTS
It is required to make the payment of the full semester by Friday, March 8. An invoice of the same
will be given by EFIB.KICK BOXING
Kickboxing is a full-body workout that includes movements such
as knee strikes, kicks, and punches. Some time at the end of
class is usually devoted to cooling down, which usually includes
exercises like push-ups and crunches for strength and stretch-
ing for flexibility.

The object of the game of soccer, also known in some countries as football, is to drive a
soccer ball into the opposing team’s goal in order to score a point. The team that scores the
most points by the end of a soccer match wins; if there is a tie score either the game goes
into extra time or the official declares a draw. The Federation Internationale de Football
Association reports that 265 million people world-wide play this popular sport.

Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance,
acrobatics and music. It was developed in Brazil mainly by Angolans,
at the beginning of the 16th century. It is known for its quick and
complex maneuvers, predominantly using power, speed, and lever-
age across a wide variety of kicks, spins and techniques.

Hip hop music, also called hip-hop or rap music, is a music genre
developed in the United States by inner-city African Americans
in the 1970s which consists of a stylized rhythmic music that
commonly accompanies rapping.

Bollywood dance is the dance-form used in the Indian films. It is
a mixture of numerous styles. These styles include belly-danc-
ing, kathak, Indian folk, Western popular, and “modern”, jazz.

Tae Kwon Do (also known as Taekwondo) is the art of self de-
fense that originated in Korea. It is recognized as one of the old-
est forms of martial arts in the world, reaching back over 2,000
years. The name was selected for its appropriate description of
the art: Tae (foot), Kwon (hand), Do (art).

Krishna a symbiotic creation of East meets West. In a previous life, as a driv-
en Political Science graduate spent years in London intensively blending corpo-
rate life with wellness pursuits and trained and qualified as an advanced Yoga/
Meditation facilitator. Today, as a Tedx speaker she is referred to as a ‘Wellness
Warrior’ an Urban Yogi of sorts who amalgamates her learnings and shares by
coaching, motivational speaking conducting wellbeing workshops and consult-
ing on wellbeing around the world.

(2nd-3e)‘MeTime’ Art Atelier
“Without craft there can be no art.” No matter how vivid and rich an artist’s imagination
may be, unless he or she has mastered the tools necessary to express it, that person is
not an artist. Get the chance to explore textures, colors and shapes through fun arts and
crafts for kids.
MeTime Art Atelier is a succesful studio based in Bandra who will deliver unique tailor
made art courses at EFIB.

Swirl music, led by Kunal Basu, will bring to shcool Bollywood singing, Guitar, Keyboard
and Tabla. The classes will be taught in the same room so that students can play togeth-
er different instruments, however, the clases can also be split if necessary to focus in one
discipline.

Aerial silk popularly known as tissue or fabric is a perpendicular suspension from the top
on which one or more people perform aerial acrobatics.
Aerial silk gives you a completely different adrenaline rush as one is performing all the mo-
ments in the air against gravity. The variety of moves, drops, wraps, twists and turns are
practically endless and create an ever-intriguing challenge.
Earlier this art form was only used as a performance act, but today it has gained popularity

Nine hundred and fifty kilometers south of Kutch, Gujarat, where a lot of blockprinting orig-
inates, Sarfraz Khatri runs Pracheen, a block-printing studio in Mumbai with a kindred buzz.
Years ago, Sarfraz learned natural dye recipes and techniques into which he has since in-
fused mysterious secret recipes that seduce some of the world’s top designers and India’s
most worshiped Bollywood heroes.

Mini Tennis Tots is for children aged 3 to 6-years-old and enables them to learn the ba-
sics and how to enjoy the game through a series of fun activities based on the fundamen-
tal areas of balance, co-ordination, agility, movement and racket and ball skills.

es back to the period of the Mahabharata and Ramayana. IIt is a traditional sport
in which a gymnast performs feats and poses in concert with a vertical wood-
en pole or rope. Mallakhamb can be translated into English as ‘pole gymnastics’.

The participants are taken through all aspects of theatre including creating
their very own story and performing it. Experience Theatre participants have
adapted well known fairy and folk tales in their own unique way and even
classical texts, thereby lending a very contemporary context to renowned works.

EFIB is introducing beginner level French to parents of EFIB on Thursdays
and Tuesdays. Parents can choose to participate once or twice a week as
per their requirements. Spoken by more than 220 million people, French
is a major language of international communication. It is the second most
widely learned language after English.

Through individual or group tutoring, students will receive assistance
with all aspects of their homework assignments. Students can choose to do
