Centrally located on a 375-acre site in the
southern San Joaquin Valley, California State
University, Bakersfield is a continuously growing

Athletics
CSUB is an NCAA Division I University, successfully competing in the Western Athletic Conference since
2012. CSUB will join the Big West Conference in 2020.

Men: Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Swimming and Diving, Track and Field, Wrestling.

Women: Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Cross Country, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Swimming and Diving, Track

Antelope Valley
Located in the heart of the Antelope Valley, CSU Bakersfield Antelope Valley is a satellite campus
conveniently residing next door to Antelope Valley College. CSU Bakersfield Antelope Valley was established
as a transfer university location providing continued higher education for Antelope Valley and Southern
California residences.

Extended Education and Global Outreach
CSUB Extended Education and Global Outreach is committed to the adult learner. Programs are specifically
engineered for busy adults, providing both the content and assistance necessary for educational and career
success, without demanding all of their (already scarce) free time. Programs offered include in-person,
online, and hybrid programs that provide access to distinguished faculty and dedicated support from our
CSUB Extended Education team.

Alumni
CSUB Alumni Association represents nearly 50,000 alumni. Sixty-six percent of CSUB’s alumni live and
work in Kern County. CSUB Alumni Association awards student scholarships, hosts annual programs like
Party in the Park, Alumni Hall of Fame, and Rising Runner, supports campus and community events, and
keeps graduates up to date on University news and events.

4. Student Research Scholars (SRS) /President’s Associates Grant
    The SRS Program supports faculty mentorship of student’s research, scholarship, and creative
    activity. Each successful student-faculty team receives up to $2,000 over a period of one year,
    from private funds made available by the President’s Associates.

In addition to offering computers, printing, and Wi-Fi access, the library is also home to Walter’s Coffee

The library’s “Walter Presents” events series has welcomed many engaging programs to CSUB,

Bakersfield Business Conference
Over the years, the CSUB grounds and the
Bakersfield Business Conference have hosted
former presidents, world leaders, Olympians and
sports heroes. Since 1985, the Conference has
continued to grow to the successful, world-class
event that it has become today, with over 9,000
people in attendance. Past speakers have been
some of the best in the entertainment industry,
including music superstars, Reba McEntire, Dionne
Warwick and Sheena Easton, as well as comedians
