Dear Parents and Carers,
In this weeks gospel we learn about compassion and looking after one another. Love and compassion are
necessities and without them we cannot exist. We all felt the disappointment and the hurt those young
footballers felt on Sunday evening, but we know they did their very best. We had to balance and learn to be
gracious in defeat and happy for the other team. We felt compassion and empathy and the desire to make a
change and to help them through their worries. I have seen this lived out in school this week too through the
many trips we have been on, children helping one another and being compassionate.

We have had a fabulous week in school and it has felt so alive
and full of very exciting activities. I have had the pleasure to be
part of the Super Six Send Off, I don’t know about the
children, but I am exhausted! They have been to Chessington
World of Adventures, Go Ape, Thorpe Lakes, had their prom and
finished today with their BBQ and games on the common. What
a send off. Thank you to the year 6 team for all their
organisation.
Today has been fun packed too, with Year 5 off to Greenwich
Park and children in EYFS and Year 1 having parties to celebrate
the end of their topic. I have been to the seaside and visited
London all in one day! I even had a performance of an original
song by Dominik in year 4A!

Nursery We cannot believe that there are only a few days left of Nursery! We have had
an incredible year, both in the classroom and learning online. We are so sad to
see our graduating children move on but are very excited to see them continue
blossoming in Reception next year. This last week will be very busy finishing off
the year and preparing for graduation.
Please ensure you return your home reader if you have not done so already.
Remember to return the whiteboard, whiteboard marker and counting cubes
from your home learning packs too. The rest of your pack is for you to keep and
support your continued learning and revision over the summer break.
This is a final reminder to please check all your school jumpers/cardigans at
home as we are still missing some. If you have one that is not yours, please
return it to school so that we can return it to the rightful owner. If your child
has gone home in any spare school clothes or shoes, please return these so we
have enough spare clothes for the next school year.
Thank you for your support throughout the year. Have a wonderful weekend.

Reception We had such a wonderful start to the week and are very sad to have said
goodbye to Reception A, who are now doing home learning for the remainder of
the school year. Please make sure you are logging on for the 9:30am meet with
          Miss Williams.
Reception B had a lovely time at the 'Beach Party' but we did miss all of our
           other friends.
We cannot believe we only have one more week of school left. Please make sure
your child is bringing in their school bag daily as we will be sending things home.
We hope you are all well and that you have a lovely weekend.

Year 1 Year 1 have worked hard this week finishing their topic work on London. They have
really enjoyed learning about all the famous landmarks and choosing their
favourite. They all look amazing dressed as their London character.
We have collected all the reading books in for the summer. Please take some time
over the holidays to read with your child and practise their key words.
As we approach the end of term the teacher will talk to the children about moving
to year 2 and answer any questions they may have.

If you have any outstanding reading books at home please send them in.

         Many thanks
         Year 1 team

Year 2 The children have all been working really hard this week and we are all so proud of
them. They had a very exciting day when they met their new teachers and are
looking forward to moving to year 3.

In English, the children have been writing postcards using time conjunctions and
descriptive language and in Maths they have been learning about Time. Next week
we have an action packed week. There are lots of fun and creative summer activities
         planned.

Please ensure reading books are sent into school next week as they will be collected
         in.

         Have a great weekend.

Year 3 Well done on another excellent and busy week at school. On Tuesday, children
enjoyed meeting their new teachers for Year 4. Children are starting to think about
the new, exciting things they will experience in Year 4. The Year 3 Games Afternoon
was a great success with everyone having lots of fun on the common. It was lovely to
see children playing well together and enjoying the afternoon with their friends.

On Tuesday 20th July Year 3 will have their end of year party. Each child has been
asked to bring some party food which they will share with the rest of their
class. We would greatly appreciate if you could bring the item from the list to
school by Tuesday. However, any contribution would be greatly appreciated. Please
make sure no items include nuts.

Thank you for your continued support.

Year 4 We might be a little downhearted about the EURO finals but the children did well
last Friday for their sports' day!
The children have also completed all their end of term tests, well done!

In English, we are completing our HOT WRITE: Explanation text about The Water
Cycle. We will then start the finale of our school year by composing our own Viking
        song!

In Maths, we are beginning to look at how to problem solve questions involving
Money. If you have the opportunity, ask your child how to add and subtract amounts
of money, and see if they can calculate the change they are owed at the shops!.

In RE, we are looking at Future Saints and what kind of person we aspire to be then
        at the martyr Oscar Romero.
In art, we will be painting our Longships!

Please could you continue to support your child in practising their times tables,
number bonds , reading and spellings at home - your child has been given their Time
Table Rockstar logins which they should be using.
        Your support is greatly appreciated!

you to all parents for being so supportive throughout a very challenging
year. You all have helped us through many ups and downs with the
children, spent an entire term doing home learning and have been
navigating through Isolation(s) with such grace, we are all truly grateful!

Just a reminder for children to bring in any outstanding reading books
and a carrier bags to have a final clean out of their trays before they
leave. We really look forward to spending this last week with the children
and will truly miss them. They are definitely prepared for Year 6 and we

Year 6 For our final week in year 6 will be a relaxed week after the fun-filled activity
week (we are all still recovering!)
We have a virtual mass on Monday with all of Merton's Catholic leavers. Our
head boy and girl will attend with Mrs Tucker. We have our final Worry Ninja

             for certificates.
It has been our pleasure to teach your lovely children and we wish them well as
